I know dem feels. I desperately want to recreate a better version of my male elf and go through with again. But I am not allowing myself until we've had more DLC and I've actually gotten somewhere with the ridiculous amounts of other quizzies I've made.

 

Speaking of which..

I was messing around in the BE with my Qunari. I'm not a fan of the facial hair this game has for you inquisitor so I stuck a 'tache on him for the lulz over how ridiculous I thought he'd look.

Turns out I love the ridiculous facial hair.

And so, 'Like a Sir' Adaar was born.

I will resist re-creating Maik'hel.  I will.  Just long enough a time, mind you.  Hehe.

Hey, it occurred to me before, how much Cory's brief attempt to retrieve the Mark must've hurt the Inquisitor.  But I made it a strict point to look for images that captured that sense, too.  And it was quickly obvious once I went looking, that Aerek's introduction to Corypheus really sucked:

Haha, thank you!  When it came out that Dorian and Cassandra were male only romances (and of course those were the two characters I was most interested in) I kind of resigned myself to playing as a male, which I don't normally do. Then I realized that just because I had to play as a male, didn't mean that my character had to look really masculine, so I designed Gilthanas with the thought in my head of 'make him look as feminine as possible'. I plan to do something similar with my eventual male qunari, though I think I'll aim more towards androgynous with him.

 

On a side note, I really love your Joruth, he is very handsome 

 

That was very interesting to read. Well I can assure you that you truly succeeded. The result is amazing. I remember the first time I've seen him, I was uncertain, I felt weird for a few seconds. Now, that might be because he has somewhat feminine traits !

Thank you! I haven't been able to play as Siobhan very much yet, she's only kind of run around Haven a bit so far, but I imagine her to be fairly aggressive and a bit of a beast on the battlefield and during intense situations. She's pretty straightforward and will tell you exactly like it is, but if the situation's calmer then she does have a pretty good sense of humour and she likes to tease.

Haha, I know when I first posted a pic of Gil in the male elf thread, the first comment I got on him was "he's male!?"   , and thank you, I really lucked out with Gil in that his smiles all animate beautifully.

 

This may sound silly, but thank you for noticing the scars on Siobhan! I chose the eyebrows for her that had the section of hair missing and spent ages trying to find a scar that I could move into that bald spot, and that actually looked like it belonged there.

Browsing through the last few pages and everyone's inquisitors look fantastic. Rascoth--Deo is amazing--love her profile! and Karai9, both Siobhan and Gilthanas are great looking--just by their expressions it's obvious they have very distinct personalities.

Aaargh. I'm getting frustrated with designing the final version of my canon Inquisitor.
 
I'm on version 3.0 by this point. (v1.0 is here, and v2.0 is here, if anyone is interested).
 
I just... I don't know. I know the eye mod isn't the one I like (I'll switch it out), and I need to darken the hair to true black with the Save Editor, but I only want to do it when I'm done with the facial features part. And it's bugging me that I can't figure out what, exactly, is bugging me. Maybe that he looks too much like a lot of other M!Trevelyans? Grrr. He has such a complicated backstory - and he's my canon - that it's hard not to work on him too much.

After a long break for miss Jilona Lavellan.. She has now had a minor remake, new eyebrows and hair! (Taken me a while to be happy with a hairmod for her)

Skaramoosh has done it again ofc! This modder makes such sweet hairs for my IQ's *hearteyes!*

@tklivory, i remember your version 2 - this character has a memorable face, i like that! in all honesty i like version2 more than 3, because he looks more.. real, maybe? the eyebrows especially make him look prettier maybe, but more airbrushed too. more aristocratic?. the actual structure of the face though is great

Your canon looks great in my opinion! Maybe what's bothering you is that the v 3.0 is more 'noble' than the other two. In the first two versions there's definitely something rogue-ish about him, and it might be because of the pics (or might be because of me  )  but I don't see it in v 3.0.

But otherwise I don't see what it could be! Hopefully you'll find what's bothering you. It's annoying when this happens, especially with a canon character so, good luck!

Vesania's adventures continue! I really like how expressive she is, even without eyebrows. I also was afraid I wouldn't be able to play her fully as insane but until now it has worked like a charm! She changes her emotions and opinions faster than Orlesian fashion

Vesania went to recruit a certain Qunari...She took his identity quite well and yet, she's still extremely cautious.

Then she went to Redcliffe. She's insane but she's still a dwarf of Orzammar and everything magic-related tends to rub her the wrong way and anger her. But she still went. Go figure why. Oh, right. Insane xD.

Why go to an important meeting when you can wander in the village? She went to talk to Connor. Poor boy. She told him if she were him, she wouldn't be there at all and Varric approved x'D They are heartless.

 

After some more wandering (much to her companions' dismay) she finally went to the rendez-vous. And then the 'Mage BS' started. She wasn't very happy. AT ALL.

But her anger was quickly replaced with confusion. Seriously, magic is already complicated enough as it is and the poor girl has more than a few screw loose. This is wayyyy too much for her!

Some quick pictures of Pious and Nipheri as they continue their journeys. They're both about halfway through. I tried changing Pious' complexion to make him look a bit older, but it just made him look sickly so I switched him back. He and Cassandra are about the same age.

So Kara 2.0 is now live (lol) Changed just a few things.  (scars and hair style)  And...I had no idea how much giving her a sca would effect me.  Ouch.  It hurts, and is causing me to wince.  Someone shot up my poor baby.  Putting holes in her.  May change it back eventually but right now, it will stay, though it will get a bit less with each war table mission.  

 

Screen shots themselves are a bit low in quality imo and I will try and have better ones later, but this achieves the basic purposes.

Actually I am a bit surprised on how well that worked out.  I had my doubts usually do not include helmets or hats on any of my RP characters, but Kara looks...like a cow girl.  But a bad arse one.

Yeah, there are some things I like more about version 2. One thing that really bugs me - and something that *hasn't* yet been modded - is the scruff available in the CC. It looks bad, but since this character absolutely must have it (I have a 3-year long history with this character, and it's one of his mandatory attributes), I'm constantly going back and forth between this 'all around the mouth scruff' of v1.0 and 3.0 and the 'bare upper lip' scruff of v2.0. I think I'll change it to bare upper lip when I get 3.0 to the Black Emporium.
 
Having said that, yes, it's not precisely pretty I'm looking for. I love mrjack's texture, but I'm not sure it's right for this character.

I think you hit the nail on the head, there. He *is* supposed to be more roguish than debonair - that easy kind of devilish charm rather than the perfection of a well-groomed aristocrat (that's a different one of my Trevelyans xD)
 
So on the whole, I think it boils down to I need to improve the scruff, use the in-game facial texture, and darken his hair/eyes. The facial structure and eyebrows are better in 3.0 than 2.0, but the textures/scruff and eyes are more appropriate in 2.0 than 3.0. Plus I think I'll go back to the scar pattern from 2.0, it's a bit more rough. Mrjack's textures make the skin tone look absolutely perfect (better color in the lighting, IMO), but just a bit too smooth. Those scars he has don't indicate an innocent past.

MrJack's texture makes him a bit too pretty. When I do make my pretty-boy Trevelyan, it will be with Ciaran's textures, though.

So, still WIP, but with a change of hair and back to in-game face tex, I'm a *bit* more happy with him. Still need to tweak the eye color and scruff, though. Maybe I should just mod the scruff dammit. And figure out how to get black hair that isn't 'black hole' black hair.

I am back again, lots of awesome Inquisitors yet again... just WOW!

 

Just started my new job, so not had much time to play, no more Dragon Age Days for me, but hey I'm not complaining, bought the DLC now... just not played it though

I was looking for things to record and I picked this scene as it shows her from Various angles, shows the voice acting and various lighting.
