What eye texture mod are you using now? It seems to pop the eyes alot more than the HD one i use... Ive tried a few but i havent found any i really like.

Maybe i missed some?

*sigh* I've been working with mods for FAR too long since I recognize this BUT... I think Melissa is using the Myfanwy's Eyes mod for Theo - it's distinctive because it adds little flecks of black to the eye texture.

For finding eye mod downloads (including Myfanwy's Eyes, you can check the Master Eye Mod Post. I'm still testing them out to find the one I want to use (myfanwy's eyes didn't work out for Martin, for example). Different eye colors and even different eye shapes make a difference, I've found, so it's a toughie to settle on.

Ah it was more the brightness/effect - i shall give it a tryout, this one u linked here i have not tested yet!

I get so little done, i spend hours and hours trying mods and playing around with mods ... haha

Oh and ofc creating IQ's for friends etc I have the worlds most lazy friends, they dont have patience for CC ... I can spend hours in there!

I really like the look of Eyes k...it seems to be a very nice realistic high-def texture. Not to say there's anything wrong with any of the mods out there - it all boils down to personal preference and the look you are going for. Eyes k seems to fit my game's styling perfectly. Here's a closeup of Ethan with his green eyes (click image for really large size):

 

 

I'll have to see how it looks for NPC's. 

 

Now if only we could get some good high-def facial scruff for men!

Forgot to add you into that other post, i normally follow all ur master mod posts and send em all around, they are great work!

Ive tested most of the eyes on that list - and not found one im fully happy with Going to tryout the Eyes k now tho!

Most of the hair mods are on tumblr...and to be honest, I find tumblr near impossible to find anything on. I can only re-locate specific things if I save them as bookmarks. It seems like mods would get a lot more exposure on the Nexus (I've even started to add my pictures to help them out)...but again, maybe there's a reason why some modders avoid it.

The DAI Tools forum is a safe place to go for modders, but it is obscure. Some modders will only post in the DAI Tools forum because they know that it is run by modders.

So, with all that being said, the DAI modding scene is incredibly disparate, which is one reason I started my blog. I know I don't catch *all* the mods, but at least I can watch the most likely places for them to appear (Tumblr, Nexus, and the DAI Tools forum) - and even the BSN modder thread - and try to consolidate them.

But yeah, it's a bit of a puzzle, and a mix of harassment, politics, and personal preference on the modders' part.

It's just crazy...I don't understand what is up with this fandom. If you don't like a mod (or a vid, or a fic, or a piece of fan art), just ignore it and move on. Why does that have to be so hard? Some mods are so hard to find. And others are completely gone. I'm lucky I got them when I did. 

 

I know what it's like to get hate...and I know what it's like to have your stuff stolen. Mine are just screenshots, but I'm sure the feeling it gives is similar. When I spend a lot of time on something I want to have as many people see it as possible. With the state of the modding community however, it seems like mods are only out there for those that are willing to dig for them...and that's sad. The modders aren't getting the exposure and kudos they deserve because of horrible petty little people that need to get a grip and move on with life.

I am currently trying to think of a new project, I have seen alot of Inquisitors on this thread and because at the moment I cannot think of a better word I will just say... AMAZING!

 

I have in mind trying to make a Redhead Female Human, possibly a duel dagger rogue, or try my hand at more male characters. I am as always open to ideas, if anybody has got a challenge for me feel free to post and let me know, I love trying new things

A blog like yours tho... It will get alot of attention if ppl give it shoutouts, and redirect ppl to your posts. Ive already sent alot of Facebook users this way to look for mods, how to mod etc etc. If there is just ONE good blog like this, alot of the more quiet/not much seen modders might make atleast you notice them and their mods, that way you can spread the words

I use to ignore hate messages, and didn't think much about it, but when its pretty consistent and almost every day, with  a person stalking  you on every forum its kinda hard to ignore. Ppl fail to realize that we are spending hours of work for free, and to us its just a hobby and its because we enjoy the game, but i guess some ppl feel entitled  for us to suit  their needs thats why some of us dont even want to share our work anymore

@lylliaa Aerek’s generally brusque, rather.  It’s kind of off-putting to most people who meet him, actually.  He shrugs off their complaints, thinks of himself as a no-nonsense, let’s-get-down-to-business sort of guy.  If I met him in real life, though, I’d probably just want to smack him more often than not.

 

@Adela I wish I could say don’t let anyone run you off!  But I understand the hassle can get pretty extreme, and that’s just me as a fanfiction writer, not a modder.  I’ve had some people chase me in-game, even, insisting that I change my character’s story to suit their own feelings.  I eventually laughed it off but only after several guildies basically told me, “Eff them!  This is YOUR story!”  It’s only, I know it can get rough, so hugs!

 Thank you! Keep in mind, though, that she requires mods to look this way. If you play on PC, I could list them out for you and where to get them. I honestly don't know what she'd look like without the mods.
 
Here are the sliders, though. Unfortunately I can't remember the face I started with, but I'm pretty sure it was #4? The one with the very white skin and the upstanding bangs (iirc).
 

 

Thanks! I'm on console so I don't use mods, but really it's only face shape and eye shape that I need. I don't care about having the same hair or re-textured eyes, skin, or whatever.

lol aww thanks   i only wish the quality was better ps4 compresses the screenshot quality, but yea i tend to prefer dark hair especially when making characters and at first i was gonna give him dark hair, but i wanted to try something different, since my hawke and warden were both human and had dark hair. At first i intended on playing human because it was what im used to but i figured id give another race a chance so i went with elf since i always thought they seemed interesting and now im so happy i went with that as my canon because of how much more relevant they seem to the story. i like to avoid any of my characters looking the same so i tryed to make him look very different from my other 2 characters especially because he wasn't human so i stepped out of my comfort zone and just went with what i remember i typically see most male elves look like in movies/art/other games which is light hair, light skin, boyish, androgynous etc. and luckily he came out pretty good.

Some quick pictures of Pious and Nipheri as they continue their journeys. They're both about halfway through. I tried changing Pious' complexion to make him look a bit older, but it just made him look sickly so I switched him back. He and Cassandra are about the same age.

 

 

Thank you Auronvigo !   Oh, it's normal, I just posted one or two pics of him months ago, people simply didn't notice him. I wasn't at all active in this thread at that time to be honest and I was done with him a long time ago, so I never showed him more than once, except in other appropriate topics.
