haha lol wow i never thought about that. I love cole to pieces, but i don't think he's romance material with the whole being a fade spirit all and its cool im not offended i just cant imagine him as a romance option for any of my inkys, i love him as character though

Well, depending of your choices, he becomes a human. I wouldn't match him with any of my inquisitors because they all would look like pedophiles lol (Well, maybe Halasan would not, but I digress) But since your inquisitor look young, he and Human!Cole would end up as an interesting pairing in my opinion.

well it would be defiantly be interesting  and i actually did make him human in my playthrough which is the route i prefer, but yea it does kinda make me wonder how they would handle a cole romance if he was an option, being that hes such complex character and the mind reading thing he does.

I don't see it being that complex . Spirit Cole = no romance, simply because it wouldn't work. Just like you get locked out of Cullen's romance arc if you give him lirium.

It's from the NPC complexion mod. I use that one too and it bothers me that some hairstyles will make that whispies visible :c

Thank you for the kind words, Abalone and settrah! And all the others for the likes! So many likes! Makes me happy that others like my dear "little" Armin as well.  

This thread is super fun. Everyone has so many cool-looking Inquisitors, and seeing them all and reading their stories (those who share them) is is just, well, fun! It's nice to see others don't have the problem I seem to have - that apart from the very first Inquisitor I made, I can't seem to be able to make others and play them. I guess I'm bad at roleplaying, I always seem to get fixated on one character that I can't let go.   Happened with Hawke as well. When I first got the DAI I just started with Adaar (he had black hair back then, though) and have played through the game a few times with him. Luckily there are still new things I keep finding, so it doesn't get wearisome to see and hear the same stuff again (as, you know, I can't even roleplay Armin with a different personality). Plus I do a massive amount of headcanoning while playing, so that helps. 

 

I think it's the voiced protagonist that makes it hard for me to get into several characters. Shouldn't be a problem now that there are four voices to choose from, one would think, but I just happen to adore the British male VA sooooo much! I actually tried making a human male, but I couldn't handle the same voice coming out from a different face... AND sadly I don't like Jon Curry as the Inquisitor. Plus, I really dislike the elf body models in the game (they're so skinny and their heads look huge - but I'm glad others don't find that problematic), dwarves can't be mages (which has always been by far my favourite class in DA games), and humans are a bit boring now there are choices for other races as well... Yeah, I guess I'm just really picky!     

Sorry for the wall of text! As others seem to have posted several pictures of their quizzies, I shall take the liberty to do so as well. Here some more Armin, hope you all like

It's just a matter of trial and error, knowing witch facial features work together, turning the face a LOT to see it from all angles, and also start with him (or her) bald, since you should choose the hair to match the face, not the opposite. Doing this, the hair won't get in the way and you will get all the proportions right.

 

When I bought the game I sucked at making characters, they all looked pretty plain and basic, not to mention that from some angles they all looked weird, with noses twisted like they were broken, eyes that were sink way to deep into the skull, and jawlines that stand out way too much, making them really unnatural. Sure, some people have wide jawlines, but they feel harmonic with the rest of the facial features.

So yes, take your time in the CC, after all you will be with your char for more than 40 hours   . Believe me, I scrapped way to much characters before I started doing good looking ones.

Yes now he have the black emporium to fix them, but I if you use mods like me, the game freezes wen you try to use the mirror for some reason, that if it loads the black emporium at all (With Robyn the game freezes wen I try to enter the BE, with Askari wen I select the mirror, I can only fully use the emporium if I disable the mods).

 

That being said, you're in the right direction, your last char is very handsome 

 

Thanks for the encouraging words - they will be needed as I'm kind of forced to restart with Eoin *internal screaming* I've got the wrong world state loaded and if he's to be my headcanon there are some quite crucial elements I changed for Rabastan/Nìla pt so my headcanon play would be different..

Loghain Lives, wrong romance options with both Hawke and Warden, Warden is not the father to Kieran.... among others, but just so you get the idea...

 

I'm not far along the game - about ten hours in - but have to say I can't recall the last time I was as furious with myself. I'm not even sure I want to play now or if I should just get the sliders from BE or just completely remake him - both options seem kind of painful .__. And I was doing so well for it to be my first nightmare play through (now I'm not sure if I can be bothered)..

 

*bangs silly head against wall* I wish the world state you loaded came with the name of the ws and not just the timestamp...

 

Anyhow, thanks anyway... I kind of thought he was handsome too, though he was to be a little bit of an oddball of the House Trevelyan...

I really like how Halaslan looks. I can never get that hair to work for me when I'm in CC... And I also seem to struggle with making good looking green eyes.. Never really goes well with the skin tone and complexions I've picked.

 

@Khylian thats honestly one of the best looking male Lavellan I’ve yet to see - jealous to infinity ! 

 

@hawkins437 Rilke reminds me a bit of Scout Harding… Like, she could be her younger sister or something. Not a bad thing at all… I love how you’ve managed to make her features quite petite but still made her quite true to what dwarves normally look. Great job !

 

And I think I've liked nearly every picture @Rascoth has posted on this topic since I joined 

 

Question, now that BE is available, have you guys used it to change your inquisitors look to go with the story or do you just use it for tweaks or if you want to change things up a little ? My plan with Eoin was to add more scars after the attack on Haven and was just wondering if anyone else does this...

If I don't like how character turned out (lets be serious, without BE most of us recreated characters dozens of times) I use BE to tweak. 

Later in the game I sometimes change hairstyle (for example, for longer one - hair grow, right?), small make-up changes (only if it shows changes in my charries character) and yeah, from time to time I'll add scar... or make existing scars softer ('cause, you know, healing).

So you're not the only one who thinks about using BE that way

I use a lot of custom textures, so I guess I'm locked out BE for now D= Totally unrelated, but are you experiencing crashes in other parts of the game? Everytime I try to capture the forth in crestwood I get a infinite loading screen ._.'
