I certainly noticed that  Thank you.

 

If I don't like how character turned out (lets be serious, without BE most of us recreated characters dozens of times) I use BE to tweak. 

Later in the game I sometimes change hairstyle (for example, for longer one - hair grow, right?), small make-up changes (only if it shows changes in my charries character) and yeah, from time to time I'll add scar... or make existing scars softer ('cause, you know, healing).

So you're not the only one who thinks about using BE that way

I'm glad he looks a bit more sad. I'm also quite happy cause now he looks a bit more different compared to Rabastan than Eoin 1.0 did but I'm still a bit frustrated about losing 10 hours since my holidays are nearly over... I'm completely paranoid about the world state still, even though I triple checked it to be sure...

So, after many more hours of messing around, I'm starting to get close to what I want my Elf to look like.  This is my first, unedited shot of Alyia, my Elf mage.    It's funny as for her RP story, she was sent to spy on the conclave but her real goal was to assassinate the Divine and take out as many Templars as possible before she died.  Strange irony that they all now believe she was sent from the Maker to save the world.   I'll work on her some more and post another update later.

Thank you... That comment gave me a lot of ideas considering how I want to play him now and more about his backstory, hahaha. Which is good since he's supposed to be about growth. is Also got the urge to change his hair into that messy short one for some reason... though most boy band members have quite sleek well done hairstyles these days, no?

That's exactly what I thought... With Rabastan I was quite concerned about changing his face at all, cause I thought it might be a bit silly if he suddenly went from brown to blonde for example (is bleaching your hair even a thing in Thedas ? Maybe the Inquisitor should ask Cullen  )

As for your Hawk, love her in both games ! But I admit that I prefer her in DA:I because she seems more realistic ! Infortunately, at least to my eyes, DAII looks a bit too cartoonish !

If I understand well, it is a version of you ? No wonder why I thought what I thought yesterday !  I thought that your DA:I hawk looked at the same time beautiful, with an interesting rounded face and she seemed realistic to the point I could easily meet someone like her in real life, on the streets. That's the vibe I got from her yesterday. I had no idea that it was supposed to be a version of you.
 
 But I personally think you succeeded to give a bit a rounded face to your Hawk to be honest since, that's what I noticed yesterday. Seeing her with Adelaide in the same pic can be only good for my eyes anyway !

Oh I agree with you that DAI Hawke looks more lifelike! It's just my perfectionism being dissatisfied that not all her features could I got exactly right.   
So, if you combined the face shape and nose from DA2, and everything else from DAI (minus the huge forehead x'D) you would probably get something like me... ^^"
 
I wish you luck on trying to create your brother's face in the CC! ^^ Maybe I should try to properly "CC" my face too just for fun.  I'm pretty confident with the DAI CC at this point... x'D

Everyone is intimidated by her size and horns but in reality she's a kind and sweet cinnamon roll who can be really fierce and protective if she needs to be.   (She's my first character I really feel the British voice fitting perfectly. ^^)
...I miss the curly horns...   I feel like those fitted her more. *sigh* I spent ridiculous amount of time on her character design... those who were around in March(?) know my struggle. x'D  
Who shall she romance now that is the question. (Why Ser Barris is not an option? T-T)

 Oh if you meant the makeup and the like, those are from the CC, yep! ^^ I only choose them hastily when the BE came out (as I can always change them later if I want, right?) but in the end I never felt the need to actually do so, they all came out pretty neat. :3 (I don't even remember what colors were those to be honest! xD) But I love that depending on the lighting, her lips can be a lot of different colors.
 
By the way, I hope you plan to share more screenshots of your Inquisitors, especially Jaeghar!

I use a lot of custom textures, so I guess I'm locked out BE for now D= Totally unrelated, but are you experiencing crashes in other parts of the game? Everytime I try to capture the forth in crestwood I get a infinite loading screen ._.'

No, no crashes. Maybe try checking every mod, to see which one causes this?

I really liked the development of your character. It's like she has grown up lol ! I appreciated seeing her with very short hair first, after with mid short hair, and finally long hair. The three hairstyles you gave her suit her very well by the way.

Yeah lol * On console and is still crying over the awful grey outfit in Skyhold * The grey outfit is even uglier on a dark skinned character. I wish I could have some good outfits for my male inquisitor. XD I always cringe everytime I see him in the grey outfit. If only we could at least wear our armor lol. For sure, it wouldn't look relaxed, but we would remain badass at least. Instead of giving us new mounts in a new DLC, I wish Bioware would have given us some nice new outfits. My male inquisitor is so sad. Biowaaaare whyyyyyyyy !

Oh my god. So much attractiveness from a qunari. The overwhelming feeling strikes again. I'm speechless. I think this time, I'm not going to say all  what I am thinking, because my post would be very hyperbolic ! Zezola is the most beautiful Qunari I have ever seen. She has become my new favourite Qunari. 

 

And no, good lady thank you. =) I haven't felt that way since the first time I have discovered this thread with all those amazing characters, astonished by what I saw the first times, with so many pics blowing my mind, while I was totally noob, ignorant and unaware of those possibilities in the powerful character creator. Her outfit is so awesome and yeah, again, I'm impressed by the colors you chose. ( yeah I mean the makeup, the clothes and all ) I'm in love with this Qunari. All her pics are amazing ! 

 

But her face, her facial expression in the last pic, it's just...ugh ! ( this is the first time that I see such facial expression with a Qunari, that's awesome )  I SWEAR TO GOD THAT IF SOLAS, is totally insensitive to her face there, HE HAS SOME BIG ISSUES ! SOLAS just stop talking for the love of god and hug her !!!!    Love her personality, she indeed looks fierce, but she also looks nice, love her vibe.

 

Thank you for giving me more about her, a real gift. Lol, I said, it would be short, but I still had some things to tell apparently XD ! ( I admit that I didn't even notice that you changed her horns lmao, but she is so awesome after all ! For me it doesn't change anything, she is flawless ! )

 

And, yeah, Ser Barris is awesome ! I also wanted him for one of my female characters.   Jaeghar personally could have a crush on Vivienne ( how I was disappointed for Vivienne TT ) and Calpernia and Harding.    Of course, none of them were available in DA:I lol.

 

Thank you for your encouragement about what I'm planning to do ( you should do it too ;P, I''d be happy to see the final result that would please you. I'm certain it would please me too !  ), and infortunately I already blown up this thread with a lot of pics of Jaeghar, while you weren't there. LOL. I have no more pics to share. Couldn't resist and created another char yesterday - Soren has to wait a little bit.
Athenowen Lavellan - this is a tough one and I'm still not too fond of her looks.

She's a middle-aged dalish with a hard background, chased and abused by humans her whole life. At the age of 13 some village-boys let her be chased by a young Mabari, and the outcome signed her face with deep and numerous scars - a trauma she never really recovered from. It turned her into a frightened and unstable person, hiding her self-doubt behind a rough and short-tempered behaviour giving the illusion of a tough being.
She's similar to Sera, caring for the weak ones and acting imprudently sometimes - Josephine will have a hard time with her, I guess.
Maybe the love of a warm-hearted, considerate man who can give her shelter in his strong but gentle arms can help her overcome her past and grow stronger to cope with the strains of an inquisitors life. (I'm thinking of Blackwall - haven't romanced him so far, I hope he's the right choice :-p I know his development though and the later twist in his story will show if or how Athenowen changed.)

Now to her looks - left is what I started with and on the right it's her after the latest overhaul.
 


In the beginning I tried to go away from the cute beauty that most of the female elves have - gave her a more square-edged and flattened face, tinier eyes, smaller mouth ... But in certain light situations she looked like Odo of Deep Space Nine :-p Her overall appearance felt to manly and human, and in some situations she looked like a granny - nothing Blackwall would fall in love with ;-)
I tried to get back to the elven roots, smoothened the edges, added a tattoo, emphasized the scars, lowered the skin tone 'cause the real dark tones looked almost black ingame - now I'm pleased more, but there are still things I'm not happy with. The complexions (right translation? I mean the textures for the face you can choose, like freckles etc.) that give an older look turn often almost invisible, giving her a younger look than intended, and the eyes are far too white - maybe it's caused by the shader I use, I don't know. In cut-scenes the face looks ok, still not old enough, but far more detailed than outside the cut-scenes. In the normal view she's flat-brown with soft scars and shiny white eyes, only when totally hit by light she looks ok ... oh well, I have to try other complexions I guess.

Others have had this issue and fixed it by running a repair in Origins after deleting the Patch folder (xx\Origin Games\Dragon Age Inquisition\Update\Patch). If you haven't done that, give it a try. It could also be that you have a busted series of saves (that could have been broken a long time ago).

I will try this and see if it works. If it does, I can finaly finish my playtrough with Robyn.

There are so many great characters in this thread! Visiting this place always makes me want to start another playthrough.

I finally finished my nightmare run with my archer artificer Mania. She ended up romancing Iron Bull which was... different! I had a lot of fun with her though. The artificer specialization was way better than I ever expected. Those elemental mines!

She just is not taking any of Briala's bull ****.  

 

And I love her armor.  It kind of looks like a medeval version of the SGC armor in SG-1.  The black ones more specifically.  I know, me making crazy generalizations and comparisons to things, but I think it fits, and she does look rather awesome in it.  

 

I do kind of wish that if they did do a NG + the only thing i would have wanted to carry over would be your schematics from the previous game.  Because again, so little of my gameplay will be with this armor/ bow combo

I took some shots of June today. I'm using skara888's bun hair mod and I think it suits her!
