I still can't believe they released Qunari content that works perfectly on everyone else but Qunari. SMH My Qunari's face is a light grey but his body is bright peach.

 

Anyway, I really like Phrona's look!

Yeah. I was kinda excited for this pack. New gear for qunari! But then this... Well, at least heavy armor behaves better than light one.

What gets me is that the skin matches for the Shokra-taar, but not the Antaam-saar, so if it's as Rascoth says they only did it that way for one of the armors. I can't remember if the Shokra-taar can't be dyed, but at least its colors aren't reversed.

Both armors can be dyed on elves, humans and dwarves. Both light and heavy armor can't be dyed on female qunari. Heavy armor can't be dyed on male qunari. That's what I know.

Yeah, skin seems to look better on heavy armor.

He sided with the Templars(naturally)

He helped Gaspard obtain the throne uncontested.

He saved my Male Mage Hawke in the Fade, sacrificing Loghain.

He let Morrigan drink from the well.

He supported Vivienne as Divine

He sacrificed the chargers for Qunari support.

He romanced Iron Bull.

 

 

Asala Shok (Soul Struggle) Adaar

Qunari Merc - Champion or Templar - He takes a noble/direct approach in dialogue.

I think I'm going to side with the Mages in this one.

Not sure who I want to rule Orlais. I might go with Briala pulling Gaspard's strings.

Saving Loghain this time and sacrificing my Female Warrior Hawke.

Morrigan will drink for sure.

I might support Leliana as Divine.

Sacrificing the Chargers.

No romance he's gonna be a lone wolf and I'm holding out for another romance possibly if they have a part 2 for inquisition.

Elven Mage - Knight Enchanter - She takes a Direct/Funny approach in dialogue

There are 2 routes I'm thinking about. She wants to restore what was regarding Elven history and sides with the Mages or she hesitantly accepts the moniker of the Herald of Andraste but slowly begins to believe she is Andraste's herald forgoing her Elven roots and in effect sides with the Templars.

She will re-unite Celene and Briala.

She's going to save Alistair and sacrifice some random Hawke I created.

She will drink from the well herself.

Will romance Solas and maybe keep Blackwall on the back burner.

Will support Cassandra as divine or Vivienne not sure yet.

But it doesn't. Every picture I see of a human or elf wearing the "belly dancer" armor the body color doesn't match the head. And I saw pictures of Dorian in the other armor and his torso/arms are clipped in all sorts of weird places. 

 

Sorry I don't have a pic to contribute - haven't been playing a lot lately, but maybe I can post a shot of a facial hair mod I've been working on, even though it's for an NPC -

It's not as noticeable in the 2nd pic, but in the 1st one the facial skin is slightly warmer than that of the body. Also, the light seems to reflect differently off it. In terms of video game skin, I'm not sure how lighting works with skin for DA:I, but if it were Skyrim I'd say the subsurface scattering looks different between the two skin types. The light seems to reflect off the skin of the head in a much more natural way. The way it reflects off the body it just seems flat and made of a solid substance (armor) rather than skin. Light shines through skin, not directly off it like it's made of marble. I think you'd see the effect even more in direct lighting rather than shade.

 

In addition, the face is high-rez (one of Shantia's fab textures me thinks?), against low-rez body skin. Even the vanilla face textures look like they'd be higher rez than the "armor skin," which is why I don't understand why they didn't just make the armor show the real body model underneath. 

 

It might not bother some people, but that sort of stuff just bugs me to the point of obsession. Even the slightest neck seam sets me off.

Idk, maybe cause my inq has super pale skin i just don't notice it that much...

 

But  based on Orcteeth screenshots it looks like the normals are messed up  and it doesn't project the skin shade that well  if you try to go darker, I'll try to mess around with the normals and see if that helps at all

@Rascoth: Yeah, I have the antaam-saar dyed because why not. It amuses me that it works fine-ish for any race besides qunari. Replaying screenshots is the worst... with the freeze cam option in Cinematic Tools now I've spent more time than I should watching them.

@MelissaGT: There is a slight difference definitely. I've taken screens of Sera, Cass and Dorian and all 3 have bodies slightly lighter than their faces. It's a lot less noticeable on them. Also I just want to say you take some gorgeous close up shots... Cullen looks good with that facial hair. I'm not sure what kind of magic you use but I'm always happy to see your screens pop up on Tumblr.

@Adela: That does seem to be the case. The darker the skin for a qunari (player character? not sure), the more obvious the difference. I'd be interested to know if it's messed up on all player characters regardless of race or not.

Checking this thread has become one of my favorite things to do over the day. So many pretty inquisitors!

Been playing quite a bit, but with Inquisitors I intend to finish the story with, so I want to wait with showing them until then. But I have side project pictures! _{If you're into that sort of stuff...}

 

Redoing Adairs playthrough on the side, making some light changes on the side. He's got a scar now! And here he is in the rope getup.

Even if Lightly approves, this will not be his main outfit. But his head seems to match the torso, so that's good. The other armor does...scary things to his chest. D: No pictures.

Trying to create a dark, witchy human to match one world state. She will either romance a grey warden or a cute blonde guy. Audra was a result, but even if I like her I don't know if I'll continue with her. She's also in rope outfit. For science and stuff.

Gender Bender science continues with Hörn. Who was made in a sugar fueled pop music rush, but I've grown fond of her.

Left most is her original look. The middle was a little touch up to add some action on the side of her head, but I found that I preferred her original look. The right most is her without make up. I think she's surprisingly cute for a dwarf. 

And more Hörn, if she got really tan and put on rope outfit.

Umbilical cords are for weaklings, real dwarves feast on the stone with their teeth!. Or something. There is a tiny belly button way, way down on her belly.

 

Conclusion. I really like the rope outfit. And the heavy armor does beautiful things for my Qunari, but she'll be shown at a later date.

Thank you! Honestly, the best suggestion I can give about taking screenshots for any game is to find the right lighting...

Nice! I am really digging your dwarf. The skin tone differences don't look too severe on your inqs.

 

Here's my Cadash who hasn't seen much play because I'm still not over Adaar. Still trying to decide which hair to use and tweaking how they look. They shave off their beard but get lazy about it, hence the stubble.

I recently came back to play DAI after taking a LONG break in the middle of my first playthrough, just around Wicked Eyes.  I decided to take advantage of the awesome new mods that the community has worked on, and used the Black Emporium Mirror to remake my original Inquisitor.  The first look was okay, but nowhere near "Asian" enough for what I had hoped to originally achieve.  Having the Mirror now as a tool, plus all the awesome cosmetic mods available, I was able to get a MUCH more satisfying appearance.

Mods I used include the following:  Hot-Fish's 'Loose Hair with Braid', as well as MrJack's eyebrows, Zachillios's HD Eyes, Ziriel's Lush Lashes, and Zolariel's 'New and Improved Makeup'.

 

I also made an elfy Inkie, and followed the same basic design philosophy of trying for a cutesy "Asian" look.  I rather like how she came out!  The hair I used was Veylia's wonderful 'Long Hair With Bangs' for elven females.  I love how it looks!

So this post is already long so I put Ivandra in spoilers after 1 Pic.

It is such a bittersweet story of her. First get sort of betrayed by Blackwall, then fall in love to a lyrium addicted Cullen.

Its my very first playthrough I ordered Cullen to take further lyrium. Then they did fall in love with each other. He seems a bit more distant but its still so sweet !

 

I did go through all my pics and I will not post them all at once - forgive me - so I have still a little longer Ivandra
