I had some fun with my background a while ago. I had the idea to create ( okay it was quick lol ) the parents of my inquisitors Jaeghar and Jaheira ! Just for fun !  The pics in spoilers below !

 

First, the mother : Lady Armanne Trevelyan, this is how she looked on those pics when Jaheira was born from her belly. Then, young lady from Antiva, second wife of Lord Randyll, she is a sneaky, dangerous and ruthless noble, her children are her big weakness though. A lovely woman with her family, the best of the mothers, but a cold human with everyone else, without pity with her enemies. She will teach everything about the intrigues and all her subtle universe to Jaeghar, How to dance, how to lie,,how to hide hostile feelings while smiling , how to win with words, how to play the noble game very well.

 

Jaeghar took her skin color ( as all her children, genetics have their own laws, you do not choose ) and her green eyes, while Jaheira looks a lot like her mother at the same age ( until Jaheira colored her hair ) but got the golden eyes of her father.

Now, the father, a pure free marcher, heir of ancient heroes from the Free Marches, Ser Randyll Trevelyan. On those pics he isn't yet a lord, but a warrior, a knight of one Bann in ostwick, Lord Patrek Trevelyan, his own father. Much older than the young lady Armanne when he met her. And already married once - because of duty as a noble and to please his father - with another woman he never loved; Hs first wife however dead with their three weak babies, each one supposed to become his heir year after year until the last one, who succeeded to live only a few years after his mother gone. ( the tragedy of his life ), Ser Randyll will fall in love at the first sight and with only a few words at a ball  with the antivan woman a few years after a period of despair. The same for the young lady despite the difference of age. The result, an happy relationships and plenty of babies. Bitter, convinced that lord Patrek, his father made a terrible mistake when he chose a wife for him, the tragedy following him, Ser Randyll will marry the antivan lady without the agreement of Lord Patrek, which is the biggest insult a son, a noble, could do to his father.

And there more than 30 years after, Lord Randyll, older but still the same strong, implacable and fierce guy. He is going to meet his son or his daughter  proud f him / her ( as the inquisitor ) at Skyhold during the event of inquisition. And several times with many others members of the family. No need to show Lady Armanne, she hasn't changed much, she is much younger than her husband.

I already felt that I I would like the personality of your inquisitor after what you said with Sera in a previous post, it is confirmed !!! Enjoyed reading the background. That smile she has on the second pic is full win !

edit : And, yes, it's another armor i found for Jaheira, but it isn't her who created it, it's not personal. And the other armor is still better lol.

Okay so even though I haven't finished my Lavellan playthrough, I decided to try starting a new one with a human male rogue.  I was curious to see if I could get a decent looking guy made in the CC, and I am not 100% sure if I succeeded.

 

I was shooting for very defined Northern Chinese looks, and as I began to evolve him in the creator, I saw potential to infuse him with shades of a young Ip-Man/Donny Yen, and I think I got something close.  I'm really picky and I would like to get some input here...

 

 

Does he look alright?  Does he look Asian?  Does he look Chinese?  Or does he look like a lumpy-faced monstrosity from a Ray Harryhausen film?

Otherwise, I like his features. One of the better "Asian" inquisitors I've seen. You're doing good work.

Awe, thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed. I'll definitely be posting more pictures when I take them. Siobhan will be off to complete 'Here Lies the Abyss" next time I have a moment to play, so hopefully I'll capture some good moments.

 

Also, your creation of Jaeghar and Jaheira's parents is so much fun! It's nice seeing their 'world' fully fleshed out.

Thanks so much!  I tried to adjust the 'hollows' under the cheeks but the sliders only allow for so much adjustment, especially when trying to get those high Asian cheekbones.  And LOL yes, I wouldn't go geisha on any of my Asian IQ's, I'm trying to get a more authentic look for them!

Wow!   Thanks so much for the kind words!  I was initially tempted to try for a Asian-Pop look like the wonderful Baek'Ho posted above, but I am glad I decided to go for more of my own unique look, and with the modded hair he's really got a great Manchu feel to him.  It works wonderfully since he's an archer.  I am thinking of going Tempest or Assassin once I get him to Skyhold.

Hrmm, you really think so?   I was working as closely to Donnie Yen as possible, and he's as Han Chinese as you get these days, especially in HK cinema and Hollywood.

@ Sylvianus - I really enjoyed reading about Jaeghar and Jaheira's parents. Don't be surprised if you start a trend. Someone starts a new thread based on family portraits. With The Descent arriving soon we'll have new places to take shots.

 

@NWN-Ming-Ming - Your new rogue (sorry I didn't see a name) is fantastic. I especially like the skullcap braid so kudos to whoever created that mod. His cheeks might be a teensy bit too sucked in, but he definitely is one of the better Asian male Inquisitors I've seen.

My last elf, Vunin, a more mature inquisitor, likely in her late 30/early 40's:

Vunin is an older inquisitor. She is a competent spellcaster, but by no means a master, and thus never became Keeper's first. A few simple ward spells and ice magic were all she knew. Her magic grew slightly when she gained the mark, though she still has a long way to go. She recently undertook the study of necromancy, which she finds fascinating, and will put to practical use when she returns to her clan, reanimating the dead to turn humans away from Dalish camps.

 

Vunin never had time for romance even when she lived with her clan. She agreed to an arranged marriage 10 years ago, and while she never felt passion toward her husband, she finds comfort in the thought of returning to him.

 

Vunin is leery of the human inquisition, and believes the "advisors" are just using her mark to restore the status quo. Concerned for her own personal safety, Vunin plays along, parroting pro-Chantry rhetoric, awaiting the day she can face Corypheus, and then flee from her captors.

I said I'd get caught up and I did in that I've now seen all of the new Inquisitors. There's too many since my last visit to comment on all of them, but they all look amazing. You can really see the love that went into them.
