@Eyelidsz: Your Inquisitor looks strangely familiar. Also exceedingly pleased with things.

After a few hours of poking the mirror at the Black Emporium, fairly sure I have failed miserably in attempting to create an inquisitor with Chuluuny Khulan as reference. Something about the whole thing makes my eyes go sideways during cutscenes:

Thought I'd post my favorite girls too.
Ionie Lavellan - my vain teenager with unhealthy fade obsession and Dalish superiority complex

Anjali Trevelyan - no nonsense archer with a distrustful attitude and a dry sense of humor

Christiano Travelyan, a badass with an epic beard many inquisibros seem to be lacking:
Such a handsome man!

Not to knock on the badass with an epic beard, but I was deeply unhappy with the quality of the facial hair in DAI, even more so given how low my expectations were given the low quality of the hairstyles overall across the sexes.
I'm not sure that we've yet really seen ANY epic beards yet in game, even within the modding community. I myself would have adored a rich full "Kuan-Yu" or "Zhang-Fei" style of beard on the level of the Dynasty Warriors franchise, or heck even a modest "Fu-Manchu". Even Dorian's moustache would have been an awesome option, but we only got facial-tribbles ...even on Ultra setting. ![]()

After checking Google-Images I could see where you were going with your Quizzy. But I agree that there's something missing, the CC isn't very kind to rounder, softer faces while keeping high cheekbones, and my biggest complaint about trying to do an Asian-inspired Quizzy is that the skin tones are REALLY unfair in that there's very few that accurately match the light golden-tan complexion of most East Asians. With one exception, three-notches from the leftmost skin-slider, you're either Caucasian white or Pacific Islander dark. There's like almost nothing in between. It's even worse given the lighting of the CC, which is awfully inconsistent... it's all too easy to think you got a good skin-tone and then when you get out into 80% of the zone lighting, you're bronzed darker than the statues at the Kirkwall Gallows.
That being said I really like what you did with your Quizzy and I give you many kudos for the final outcome!

I get you, although those levels seem over the top for me. I'm playing on high settings, and I must say Cristiano Travelyan does remind me a bit of homeless Cristiano Ronaldo:
So, I decided after some time to post up my quizzy Gayle. I'm really happy with how she turned out. I started out in the CC like most people tend to, making strikingly beautiful characters in an array of exotic colours. A few supermodels later and then I actually started to make characters that look like people, real people that fit in with the setting. That's how Gayle was made. I started by making a very beautiful character and then tweaked her. Lips a little too thin, nose a tad to big, smaller eyes and a slightly too large chin. What I ended up with is a character who looks a little plain, but who just fits in well. On the plus side too, the horrible Bioware facial expressions don't tend to look to bad on her. Overall, I think she's my favourite out of all three DA series.

Thanks Maliluka! If you have the chance, please do let me know if you find the CC slider setting to reduce gauntness in the cheeks, send to me via PM if you like?
Sorry for the delay, its the "jowls" under the mouth and jaw section, just be careful or you will end up with saggy chipmunk cheeks. But it might help you some
Since I was on CC thought why not try and make a dwarf.. she looks so young, even though she apparently is trying to hide it with the heavy eye make up ![]()

And an updated pic of a couple of my others... I would be so much farther in my games if I wasnt stopping to take pictures, I know my Inquistors hate me for it. ![]()
Durion

Esme: well not really updated as this was towards the beginning, but I think I have created the most serious Inquistors in all of Thedas, I take lots of pictures (obviously) and in all of them this IS the only one I have of one remotely smiling

That's how I felt when I made my elf. She's lived in a forest, for goodness' sake, so I wanted a more plain, wild-looking character. It's neat to see others take this approach. So, I decided after some time to post up my quizzy Gayle. I'm really happy with how she turned out. Awe, thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed. I'll definitely be posting more pictures when I take them. Siobhan will be off to complete 'Here Lies the Abyss" next time I have a moment to play, so hopefully I'll capture some good moments.
Also, your creation of Jaeghar and Jaheira's parents is so much fun! It's nice seeing their 'world' fully fleshed out.
I'm glad you had fun with it too ! It happened one night when I didn't want to play DA, so I played a bit with the CC linked to my background.
Great idea and great characters, Sylvianus
Thank you Ashara ! It makes me happy that you think so ! ![]()
@ Sylvianus - I really enjoyed reading about Jaeghar and Jaheira's parents. Don't be surprised if you start a trend. Someone starts a new thread based on family portraits. With The Descent arriving soon we'll have new places to take shots.
Thank you. Glad you liked it ! I admit I almost removed the lines because it's normally much more complicated.
But it was just impossible to describe the whole thing with only a few lines,. " Keep it short Sylvianus " was pretty much my obsession. And lol for the trend.
@Sylvianus I love how you've created a whole family. I think it's awesome
Thank you pixiefied !
@The Oracle I must say, I love her nose.
@maliluka Your dwarf lady is so cute!
Do you hate it when something bothers you so much that it doesn't let you play? For me it was Rowan's hairline. That braid-like hairstyle was not made for humans or I just can't make good use of this one on human ladies. I was going to change only hairstyle, but you know vanilla hair, each changes head shape. So I was also forced to make some tweaks, even though I was initially quite happy with.
Either way.
Rowan Trevelyan. 2h Warrior. Former Templar trainee who hasn't forgotten about her training.
Because your male elf is beautiful and the world needs more pictures of him? Even the derpy, cross eyed ones?
They are both very pretty! And the male elf has such fluffy hair, it's adorable.
Thank you for your kind words! I'm happy that you like them. ![]()
I mostly take scenery shots which seldom include my characters, but if I have pictures related to my elf in the future, I may post them here.
This was taken when I first started using DAI Cinematic Tools:

I think I accidentally checked the "Repeat screen capture" option in Fraps while experimenting with time-freeze and SweetFX. Now I have 300+GB of random screenshots.
Still trying to sort through all this mess ![]()
Surprisingly, a tiny fraction of them turned out OK and some even look like they belong here!

I think he's talking to Cassandra

I believe he's flirting with Cassandra ![]()

Hello everyone! =) Sorry for the terribly delayed reply!! >///< (Maker I’m terrible at this… x’D)
@Lylliaa (practically a novel ahead, you've been warned sorry ^^")
@Sapphiriana

Next time I'll probably come with new screenshots of Zezola! ^^ She has long hair now, and it looks so strange but I love it. =D

The weird thing is I actually think your inquisitor is a lot more beautiful than a lot of human females i've seen. I think when they look more real they are more likeable perhaps, for me anyway. I tried to do a similar thing with my elf in making her lips quite small and a face full of freckles (not that freckles are a bad thing) but find it difficult not to make characters somewhat conventionally good looking when using the CC. I think you did a really good job here.

Yeah, I've made a few kinda "perfect" characters but got annoyed with them while playing and ended up ditching my playthroughs (before the Emporium that is). All the other characters in the game look like people (well, except for Bull, but you know what I mean). They have fairly regular features, eye colour etc.So when I made a striking frost mage queen or a exotic vixen goddess, they just looked really strange beside everyone else. Like they were that friend who you invite out for a quiet drink in the pub and they show up dressed like their going to the Oscars or a Halloween party.
In fairness, I've chosen some nice screenshots of her. Others aren't as flattering. I think a lot of her attractiveness also seems to fall into the whole "golden ratio" type measurements for facial features, which she roughly follows. I hate that some of the expressions twist the face up like their jaw bones are made from rubber. The pained/exhausted facial expression that you see a lot of at the start of the game is particularly horrible if you character has a smaller chin/jaw size. My favourite so far, however, has to be this one, just for the loiz.

Trust me, it doesn't matter how attractive you make your character they always come off bad at that moment

I finally restarted my Treyna Fria Cadash playthrough from the very beginning. It's early in the game but I like how she turned out.
Cassandra and Cullen better watch out. For this Carta dwarf flirtation is just another tool to find out more about the people around her. When she knows the other person is a non-starter, she'll push that much harder just to keep them off balance and possibly reveal weaknesses. On the other hand, if there's any reciprocation and she's not interested, she stops early on. After all, it's perfectly acceptable to slit somebody's throat. Ripping out their heart is over the line as well as being rude and tacky. A girl has to have some standards.
