So if someone speaks their mind their comments get deleted? I was already tiring of this thread but I'm definitely done with it now.

 

There's a difference between speaking your mind, and being rude (not to mention misogynistic) for no good reason.

 

 

 

Anyway, back on topic. My Senna... oh my darling Senna. She was one of my first characters, and I thought I'd give her a proper send off before I delete and remake her. Must clear save space for new character files post Trespasser... o_- (Darn you Bioware and the measly "50" save slots you allow on consoles! -shakes fist-) She wasn't my prettiest character, but she was one of my favourites. I salute you, my lovely pyromancer. Soloing nightmare with you pre trials (okay I also brought Blackwall along to tank) was some of the most fun I've had playing DA:I, and that's saying a lot.

So I'm 99% sure this was addressed to me, which is fine. It's predictable and I expected it. I'm not offended.. Surinen's aesthetic preferences don't align with mine. Wide jaw thick eyebrows and accurate theoretical facial proportions will always be negated by thick lashes and big lips and a lack of facial hair. Congrats on insulting both men and women though.

Well I'd say the third certainly does the job! That nose shape has character.

 

Koric, your Inquisitor looks georgous with a great bone structure.  (I really like the colour contrast with the hair and tatoo/eyes)

 

And thanks! I was going for a "non-elfy" elf, with the idea of a city born elf who later joined the Dalish as poor Pol did. Anybody elses had that headcanon?

 

Thanks so much, I was trying to play to strong bone structure. I honestly would have loved to push some of it further, but sliders only go so far.

I can't tell you how many times I've tried to settle on a look for my main Inquisitor. Probably because I was aiming for something Asian before frustration made me give up, because holy cow am I horrible at pulling off those features.

That being said, this one's the first to make it out of the prologue without provoking the urge to start from scratch again. So here goes.

Edit: Aaaaand her ears are too low. But setting them higher causes clipping issues with her hair. But anatomical correctness. But clipping. But aaaargh.

I'm down to my final two characters for Inquisition. I saved these ones for last since they might be seen as "controversial." They have something about them that their LIs seem directly opposed to. I don't think it is really any different than creating a devout southern Andrastian for Dorian or siccing a Dalish Elvhen girl on Sera. It really comes down to how you play them. 

 

First I'll be playing a Qunari Necromancer who will romance Cassandra. The first romantic partner I made for Cass was the minister of his clan, so I wanted this character to be more rugged. Mash together one part saarebas and one part Brawny paper towel guy and I made Hoven Adaar. His back story is that his parents smuggled him out of Kont-aar when he was a baby. They started a farm on the outskirts of Serault. Since Serault was still under the Shame, it would be unlikely that either the Ben-Hassrath or the Chantry would come looking for them there. As Hoven grew up his parents would tell him stories of Rivaini seers, and this kindled his fascination with spirits. When his parents died he believed their souls stayed behind to guide him like guardian angels. Hoven will be attracted to Cassandra's strength and determination, but she'll have him at the word, "Motalitasi."

 

 

 

My last character is Faith, who will be Cullen's mate. She will be a Rift Mage, so the relationship might start with the wrong kind of fireworks. In this world state the Trevelyans earned their spot in the Ostwick's elite through shrewd politics. This trait was not lost on their daughter, even though she moved to the Circle when she was eight. Faith is savvy and has the bureaucratic know-how to rival Vivienne. She used her extra freedom as a noble's child to establish a network of contacts outside the Circle, including members of the Mage Collective and the Formari. Her biggest contacts were the Exemplars, a handful of sympathetic-minded templars who helped valuable apostates stay out of the Chantry's clutches. Faith went to the conclave to meet up with her Exemplar acquaintances. Cullen fled when my female mage Warden tried to talk to him. I'm hoping for better results this time.

Yes I can see how that could be quite funny out of context but it's also kind of sad at the same time. I happen to think criticism can be constructive but it's though people here only want people to post nice things. It all feels very false and I wonder what the point of posting your inquisitor is. Surinen told me on another thread that my character had a babyface and I though to myself 'Why did nobody on this thread tell me that?' Also people do not wait to find out whether the person the post was addressed to is offended or not.

 

It seems that on these forums it's okay to go around making snide *drink* comments about other people's posts but it's not acceptable to tell somebody outright what you think. How does that work?

Well i know or thought that it wasn't addressed to me since i got my comment removed for encouraging Surinen when he spoke his mind, but alas i don't really care about the nonsense that goes on in this thread.
