I finally installed some mods. Still undecided on the eyebrows...

Like many, I started a new character for inquisition. Thought I'd drop her in here plus a link to the modlist and sliders, should anybody be interested.
Ellana Lavellan
She's an outspoken Dalish Hunter, sent to the Conclave after events within the clan set her on a self-destructive path nobody wanted to see reach its end. She's clinically allergic to most kinds of BS, and has her eye on - not to mention has caught the eye of - a particular former Templar...

She's truly gorgeous!
I don't see that there is a difference. Someone being rude and misogynistic is still speaking their mind. I'm female and I wasn't offended as it's debatable as to whether he actually was. Men and women do have different traits. But I'm sure you enjoyed all the likes which count for nothing in the real world or, indeed, on these forums.
If you really didn't think his posts were misogynistic, rude, or indeed even the least bit problematic then that's your opinion, and you're welcome to it. However it seems that the mods as well as a number of other people would disagree, and they all recognized a troll when they saw one, soooo yeah. Not much to be done about it beyond that. A'int nobody got time for trolls. ![]()
As for likes.. I really couldn't care less about them. I just wanted to call him out on being a jerk for no reason other than to stroke his own ego. lol
Now then, how to go about staying on topic after that. Hm... Oh I know! A no makeup selfie from Claire Trevelyan! ![]()

... Darn it Claire you're supposed to smile in these, or at least make a duck face. -sigh- So serious... oh well.

she is very memorable, and she looks very striking in he first image. there's an awkwardness to her in the second picture, cant quite put my finger on it.
i think keeping the eyebrows is a good idea... think maybe its that there is a lot of Boldness happening with her, in the markings, the bangs, the eye liner, the eyebrows. maybe she needs to be "backed off" a bit? eyebrows like that are asking to be the dominant feature on the face - if you dont want them to be, maybe you should change them? (personally i would dial down her markings a bit, make them a highlight for the other "design choices.")
my one cent ![]()

Now this is interesting! On the one hand you say that she has right to her own opinion, on the other hand you state that the mods and the other people recognised me 'for what I'm'. Mean, you clearly insult pixified's perception and encourage being in the wrong. It lacks the basic intellectual hygiene and human decency!
In all honesty I can only answer that I'm not surprised that other users see things, it is quite a common gift among the tumblrites. About the mods? They would make Marx blush.
All your strokes are well received. That being said, it is quite a thought figure to attribute derogatory names for honesty.
Oh! Claire should put a lot of of makeup. She has even a moustache shade

You have a right to your opinion too. Of course that doesn't mean that opinion is right mind you, or that other people should have to put up with it or you if they don't want to, but you do have a right to it. Anyway, obvious troll is obvious, so unless pixie decides to respond again and try to tell me that even if you are just being nasty for the sake of it, everybody else should *have* to put up with it because you're just sharing your opinion or whatever, I have nothing more to add to this little exchange.
Oh hang on, apparently Claire has a response to your comment about her needing more makeup.

Hm... I think she finds you far more amusing than I do. Oh well, I never claimed that all of my Inquisitors have good taste. :l
Edit: Actually never mind. I'm done with the back and forth in general. All due respect to you Pixie, it's not worth spamming this thread with off topic posts just to carry on some silly, ultimately inconsequential debate. Peace. ![]()

That is the problem. First and most important function of human speech is persuasion. That is why we speak. Leaving someone in the darkness is highly unethical. That is what you did; a veiled insult, you could use word such as 'think' ('and they all thought differently), it would leave a neutral comment. I'm truly heartbroken to see such volatile interactions here. Yes, great many people perceive great many things as obvious. I'm not sure where exactly I were being nasty, but that must be one of those 'obvious' things that elude me.
Her chin, it is so wide!
Yes I can see how that could be quite funny out of context but it's also kind of sad at the same time. I happen to think criticism can be constructive but it's though people here only want people to post nice things. It all feels very false and I wonder what the point of posting your inquisitor is. Surinen told me on another thread that my character had a babyface and I though to myself 'Why did nobody on this thread tell me that?' Also people do not wait to find out whether the person the post was addressed to is offended or not.It seems that on these forums it's okay to go around making snide *drink* comments about other people's posts but it's not acceptable to tell somebody outright what you think. How does that work?I just had to get that off my chest and not all of it was addressed to you Sprankton.

Oh no, I agree. I can't even post an opinion on BSN about why I think a certain pairing is subjectively better without someone whining about it.
However, Surinen posts unpleasant topics and comments solely to incite.

Great Quizzies once more. Aurovingo I like the contrast between the gentleness of your Qunari's features and that lush mustche. Interesting backstory as well!
Trying out a new playthrough with the Two-Handed warrior. An interesting experience fore someone who is most used to ranged and support classes. I generated my Brat!Quisitor and I am having great fun chosing dialogues that are opposite to my reasonable Inquisitor's ones.
Just switching between face textures changes so much. I like the rugged complexion but the other one gives a very Carver-ish vibe that goes well with this guy's attitude.

I see, I see. I can't have my own preferences and tastes unless they match the political correctness. Anything else is a clear sign that I'm a flammable troll. Reasoning rank: S.
About to take Ien through Trespasser, but first, my IQ's through the eyes of the Nug King!
i like how my characters' personalities come through in the subtle differences in expression. it's like the game co-creates my IQ's identities. the house you imagine, the house you design, the house you build ![]()
@Chlorite, thats a tough call! he's very strong-featured... ifyou're going for arrogant, think the second complexion works a little better, the extra youth adds an extra something
Thanks for your perspective S Seraff! I will try that last one and see how it goes. Maybe keep the older one for Trespasser!
It is nice to see a line-up of your various characters. I am very curious about your elf. Does he have a piece of backstory somewhere we can read about?
Chlorite, here
:
Ien didn't like being Dalish. He was a loaner who was always interested in “civilization,” and embarrassed by the traditional ways of the clan. So, one day he ran away to the city. It was a cruel initiation. He was an elf, physically weak, but scrappy and not careful with his tongue with the local authority (official and otherwise). So he got beaten up, a lot. He never broke. He lived in poverty, knicking this and that to stay alive. This period left him with a resentment for humans, a deep compassion for the oppressed, and a desire to see elves return to past glories. Eventually he learned enough of sneaking and knife play to get hired on by a group of mercenaries (who called him Woodsprite), and he lived that life for many years. When the Mage rebellion occurred, word that his clan was threatened reached him, and he went to defend it. This was a prodigal moment of sorts, and while he doesn't identify as Dalish usually, he was happy to see his family again, and agreed to serve as their representative at the conclave. He romanced Iron Bull.
Thanks for sharing Seraff. Great to see the development and realistic background. He is one tough guy.
@ Chlorite - Thank you! The general reaction to seeing Necromancer is that that person has to be fixated on death and macabre. The Rivaini stories and the Serault upbringing certainly deliver the creepy factor. So he has seen some things, but he's a nice guy. Hoven doesn't worship spirits like the Avvar, but he does see them as being helpful. A ghost whisperer maybe. He'd have to be a good guy otherwise Cassandra would want nothing to do with him.
@ S Seraff - These side by sides are great. I think I'm going to use the NK cutscene to show off my collection of Inquisitors as soon as I get everyone there.

Burn!!!! You just told @Hannahrose her intellect stinks, man the more you post the more i like you. In all honesty Surinen you are a bundle of surprises and i'm enjoy every moment of this little debate.
I see that you've edited your post from when I first received it but I would like to say that I was not 'lecturing' you about the real world I simply mentioned it. I have no desire to lecture anyone about anything. I do however think that people jump on a righteous bandwagon in order to get approval from others that was what I meant by the likes. It was uncharacteristically b***hy of me however. To be honest Hannah, I'm as baffled by his responses as you likely are but I don't think he's a troll. Reading his posts is like broken french: some of it I can make out and a lot of it I can't. I don't think anyone really has to put up with someone if they don't want to I wasn't saying that you should but I think it's kind of nice when you can see past the differences you have with a person.I agree I really do not want to keep posting off topic things here.
Pixiefied i though you would hold your ground, but you easily got swayed to the other team, now making Surinen look like a troll. I'm not saying that you should keep arguing about this nonsense, but don't give in just to please somebody else, stand for what you believe is really going on in this thread. Plus its really weird when a girl just concedes to somebody else point it feels unnatural look @ Hannahrose and you'll catch my drift.

made some adjustments on Lanathari (freckled redhead elf ftw)
She is very cute, but I would place her ears a bit lower, maybe?
