So, the hair basically looks like Mr Potato-head hair? The faces look great
I should be able to play this weekend once I get my quad-core CPU installed.
Post pictures of your inquisitor here!

The hair gets much better if you change your mesh to ultra in the settings option.

As long as you can get in your settings menu without crashing... (Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!)

Best race for female?
Depends. It was tough to make anything good without playing around in the CC for a while to get used to it. I really like one of the human female presets, but I was also able to make a good elf with some practice.
I still don't like how scrawny the elves are, though. But it looks better on a female elf than a male elf.

Lol, I can't wait to see!
The make up in this game is amazing but I'm so terrible with creating a look that isn't black eyeshadow and red lips.
With my qunari I want to try and add some "Morrigan" style makeup. Love how her eyeshadow was in Origins.
So I did manage to recreate Morrigan's makeup, but due to stupid pictures not actually showing what I did, I can at least walk you through it.
Eyeshadow colour: scroll to purple on the edge of magenta, drag your colour selector to the bottom right corner and all the way over to the right wall. You should be about half an inch from the bottom, a little above the dark purple line. You should have a deep purple now and when your CC blinks you'll see highlights of pink.
Under brow: you can either leave it as null or add in a deep magenta. Do this by scrolling to the middle of the pink section, and then dragging your colour selector down the centre of the box and stopping just under the dark pink line. You should now have a deep magenta that lines up with your purple eyeshadow.
Eyeliner: black or navy depending on your preference. Black is in the middle of the red section, in the lower left corner, just diagonally off the corner but still close. This should give you a deep black.
For navy go to the centre of the dark blue section, drag your colour selector down the centre of the box and stop at the very bottom. Move left or right until you find a shade you like best.

My Elf, conflicted I think I made her eyes too squinty.

He reminded me a bit of Christian Bale. I was satisfied with his look. I clicked accept changes. Then the horror. The face. The blue hair. The blue beard. He looked NOTHING like in the creator.
I deleted him.
Now I'm trying to recreate him, but I can't.

I'll try to make my quizzie as similar looking to (young) Johnny Depp as possible.

After hours upon hours of constant reloading I've finally got something I'm happy with.
So Elika Lavellan

Jenna Trevelyan (slightly based off Jack from ME3)

And I've tried making an albino. Probably won't use her but I like the result nonetheless.

Keep a notebook!
Way too many people have tossed out their character after noting the differences from CC to in-game!

Wow, that's the best female Qunari I've seen so far, her features look really good. Especially the nose, those are often way too high up for female Qunari in the presets and the streams.
My first course of action on any CC, after choosing a preset base, is drop all the X Height settings, often to the bottom. This accompanied (especially on DAO and Skyrim) by raising Chin Height to the top (i.e. shortest chin).

Yeah, had the same problem in Origins already.
Thanks for the tip though

Wow very pretty.
Lots of very good looking characters in this thread. Good job to all.
Would love to get some hair mods from Skyrim into DA:I. Reason I love games that can easily be modded.

I find it way easier to just use photos I have a link to. So I either get them from google or I upload them to http://www.postimage.org
Then copy the link and click the little picture frame in the toolbar and past your link.
Good to go!

Thanks for the compliment! Yeah, I would love to have different hair meshes (I have 60-80 different ones for Skyrim). But I am pretty happy with the overall freedom we have in creating our inquisitors. Though it does take some time to get used to adjusting the features.
