Well here's a tip I learned in an art class that I've found helpful.  In the human face, the distance between the nose and mouth is roughly half the distance between mouth and chin.

And the corners of ones mouth should line up with the pupils. And the eyes should be the same height as the top of the ears, though I don't think that counts for elves...

I didn't know the one about ears, but looking back it looks like I did do that for Riona, so the ear thing may work for elves too.

I think it would help if you lowered the nose a bit, if it still looks odd like if it seems now theres to much space between the nose and the eyes then lower the eyes a bit too, then she will also have a bit more forehead

Now overall I guess I do like this Lavellan very much? I would sit in front of my screen scrolling through my screencap folder for minutes and be like "Maker, you are a pretty boy aren't you?" *coughcoughIsoundlikeapervcough*

This exactly! The dialog for human pc and elf pc is exactly the same (with a very few exceptions). I cant recall a single time where you could be racist/insensitive as stop_him claims. It is because the game was designed for human pc.

What I said was that humans lack any real ability to comment on the matter, whereas other races can/NPCs certainly do. For example, the elf+Chantry sister in Haven, the dwarf arguing with the elf-hating human in Skyhold.

 

 

I agree, but that's only because it's a consequence of an important theme not really present and relevant in the last game, precisely because we didn't get much involved - as the inquisitor  - into social issues in human societies in dragon age inquisition. ( we didn't even have to confront the issue of blood magic and its morality, as it happened in other games. Doesn't mean that your character, the way you see it, couldn't have a stance for or against blood magic. )

 

It was for example much present in DAO and DAII , and where it happened, you certainly had choices to react - as a human or anything else -,  as a defender of elves or justice or being indifferent, or being a racist jerk. It's just that racism, or other social issues weren't really present as a powerful theme in inquisition unlike religion and crisis of faith for example. ( At this point, I don't even know how many times you could say that you don't give a crap about religion lol, and the lore about religions in DA:I was big too. ), it was almost non-existent because it was just not really relevant to talk about those topics in this single game.

 

Just look at the orlesian diplomatic mission, the social issues with elves in Orlais were totally overlooked, the plot totally focused on diplomacy and acting against Corypheus, while it was omnipresent in the last book, the masked empire. So, I still think that, regardless of inquisition, if you want to play a human with noble intentions, it's totally possible and credible. 

 

My canon character Jaeghar, - who is human, - if he is vigorously anti-qun, has obviously some noble biais, he still likes city elves, could want improvement for their situation, ( his own nurse was elven )  and respect the Dalish for their strong will. He will work peacefully with them in the exalted plains and everwhere else.

 

We'll just have to agree to disagree. People are free to headcanon as they please.

Its good to see you @Wyldsong. I still remember your exquisite Tattoo Collection for Origin - means I still have them

 

The discussion about limited option to play a character did urge me to start with all 3 characters. I couldn't anyway decide which I wanted to play.

I have mostly 3-4 options to answer and according to the different characteristic traits, races and such I chose for each one a different. In the begin you have some different approvals/harsh answers or a lot of like. Its interesting to play this 3 different Ladies -

 

the one who keeps me atm more is the fragile and bitter Lady Nolaya Lavellan with her nearly non emotional or angry behaviour.

 

 

Gentle and helpfully - has to care for all the refugees Cornelia Trevelyan ( she likes Conny more )

Posted here before, but that was before mods, so this is more of an update.

My cannon Inquisitor, Aeorien. I'm probably going to tweak her more, because she looks a bit too young. She is also my least favorite protagonist of the three so far, but that is my own doing. She’s just too nice and friendly, which is boring. I missed my Warden’s no–nonsense approach to handling situations and my Hawke’s snark.

Hi everyone ,

so many beautiful, charismatic inquisitors here!!! Currently, I decided to play as an elf. Well, I tried in CC and failed again and again..... and again and many times after. I wanted gorgeous glam-looking lady with some fancy hairdo and make-up. But I just couldn´t do it right - so I tried something different and now I´m in love with my new Inq! She´s not all lady like, maybe not even pretty... Her personality is similar to the way she looks - shy and modest. Her name is Ameridan - because - Why not?

Though, I would have been happy with a glam elf from Sapphiriana too. I really liked the concept of Barbie Qunari ! That was so well done ! 

As for this new pretty lady elf not lady like at all , she is shy and modest, that totally fits the way she looks, good job Saphiriana ^^ !

 

As for me, a few more pics of my dwarf after Iona ! I really like the new perspective that playing one brings, everything looks bigger, even the interactions in cutscenes, while remaining exactly the same, look different.

@Sylvianus, thank you very much. The true is, Barbie Adaar became my main character - the one I´ll (hopefully) import to the next game. That´s funny, because her creation was a joke in the beginning (I tried my first own custom complexion). 

About your Hildr - I like her a lot. Dwarven ladies are quite rare - and it´s a shame. I decided, in fact, to play as one next time, so maybe a Glam-dwarf (Glamf)?
