yeah viv's robes aer cool. I've got this mod too but haven't got around to using it yet. I'll waqit till I play the right kind of character that suits it.

It's been a few weeks since I was last here and what with Christmas, and waiting for a new PC and monitor, i'm not much further with any of my sisters than I was then.

 

I finally had some time to play though this week and the first thing I did was to start shotting. My old PC wasn't exactly a slouch, so I wasn't sure how much more I could pull from Inquisition, I was wrong, especially when screenshotting at a native 3440x1440. So I took a bunch where the only tweaks I made were to the DOF and FOV & no HS. So, a belated merry christmas & happy new year to everyone in the thread and here's Amerie, au natural and none to thrilled with what the weather at the Storm Coast does to her hair ( someone forgot to put the smooth hair mod back in )

Vivienne has the sexiest outfit of all the game and I sometime really hate Bioware for not allowing us to be able to wear it. Damn, Bioware. I was sometimes severely annoyed by how Vivienne was ten times more stunning than any of my female mage inquisitor with this outfit. There is not a single one that is close to its awesomeness in the vanilla game. I find it annoying when the companions must look better than the PC with their armor or outifts, just to show how they are unique, awesome and stunning. There's no need for the inquisitor to look meh for that. 

 

Iron Bull has one armor that made me absolutely jealous, even worse with Dorian and his awesome mage outfits. Why my male mage inquisitor doesn't have anything as cool as what he wears ? I don't need exactly the same, but why not something as fashionable ?  Hell, even some npcs have more beautiful armors than my warrior inquisitor. For me, if it existed in the game, if they were able to wear it, obviously it would be available to my inquisitor too. But, actually, no, It isn't available, neither with schematics or unique armors. WTF ?  

 

Bioware, a few things need to change for the next game..

I get why they went the route they did in giving NPC's unique armours and hairs and I love how they change for each of them in Inquisition but I do feel it may be at the detriment to our PC's 'specialness'. The NPC's are starting to feel like the stars of the show while our characters are becoming the extras with their, 'unique' but fairly boring outfits lol

 

The protaganist should feel more unique than anyone else. I've felt this way about hairs for some time, especially in DA and ME. I don't need lots of options, i'd personally rather have fewer but that what we did have was solely unique to our characters alone. I would have loved Mirandas hair in ME for instance.

 

Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with the amount of gear we have and a few I really love like the Dalish rogue armour, the mage warden armour and the stone bear,  but even more I love some of Seras outfits, Isabelas coat from MP etc. Maybe i'm just greedy. I want them all lol

yeah I like both the mage and rogue armours both sets were done well. for the most part so it's not aoll bad but I agree it would have been nicer to have more choice.

Boom. You said it all. You perfectly described the issue in only three sentences, very well said. I'm going to give this feedback for DA4 when time will be needed, so it doesn't happen in the next game for those of us who can't have mods. It's way more interesting when everyone looks awesome. The companions are a strengh in Bioware's games, but the badassery and look of the PC is certainly not less important. If you want more people to be interested in your game, make sure the protagonist will strike the eyes too. In the witcher, Geralt looks so good, it hurts. It doesn't make Yennefer and all the other companions less stunning with their outfits lol.

 

The only armor that makes me think the inquisitor looks as good, special and unique as the companions, ( warrior class ) it's when he is wearing this armor. Then I can feel he can walk with Vivienne, Blackwall, Dorian, Sera around, without shame lol :

Hah, I tend to have all my characters wear the same couple of outfits as well, thank  the Maker we can at least customise the tints lol

 

I think the one that bugs me the most is the Halamshiral mission and that outfit. I get that with 4 races plus male and female, putting us all in the one outfit was easier, but did it have to be so ugly and generic in comparison to everyone else? Honestly, my Inquisitors feel bad enough turning up in that as it is, but then to add salt to the wound, in swooshes Morrigan, fabulous and stunning in that dress. My poor girls all feel like potatoes next to her

 

I think these were pretty much the faces I pulled on seeing it for the first time.
