Hopefully this won't be a long post of huge image vomit even after cropping the images, but it may well be -- sorry in advance!  I've created three characters so far for various playthroughs and am working on the fourth right now.  In between, I have made a few others, but not final on those yet.  Just there for the memory bank.  Anywho...

 

First up is: Red Bear.  He's got eyes for Iron Bull and a lot of body-ody-ody.  

 

 

Next is his cousin, in an alternate universe:  Red Tiger.  Feel like making some magic, Dorian?

 

 

Last (for now) is my Lady Dorf Rogue:  Amira.  Time to steal Blackwall's heart.  And wallet.  And pants.

Unf.  Red Bear can GET IT!  Good god, y'all.  I wish that I could introduce my gay qunari to him.  Forget Bull and Dorian.

 

Also, I approve whole-heartedly of your dwarf and qunari heavy playthroughs.  I also have only made dwarves and qunari so far.

So what exactly do you have to do to set up the game on the PC to take screenshots?  And where are they saved?  I'd prefer to not do it through Origins if that's an option.

 

Just hit the print screen key. Screenshots are saved to Documents > BioWare > Dragon Age Inquisition > Screenshots.

I am having the most difficult time creating a good looking character (especially on female ones)

oh man which complexion are you using. that's what my dwarves have been missing imo

No idea since the slider isn't numbered. Off the top of my head I'm pretty sure the skin tone is somewhere on the far left like 3-5? Then the complexion might be towards the far right but like 2-4 behind the last one. I wanted to age him at about 30-40's. Too bad you can't put grey/white streaks in the hair or just have better grey/white hair options cause I really wanted that.

Here is my main! female human 2-handed warrior

I tried very hard to make her look like me, with a bit of help from my boyfriend (I like to pretend that I am the main character, I am sure I am not the only one )

I am not 100% happy with how it turned out. I hope we will be able to edit our characters like in DA2...

After spending way too much time playing around with the character creator, I finally got around to actually play the game with a dwarven warrior.

The lips came out a bit pinker than I expected, but this apart, I'm happy with his looks, especially the scar placement.

However i don't like the looks from the side. have been trying every slider ut to no satisfaction. if anyone can give me any tips on how to improve her, it would bbe very much apreciated.

Actually, I quite like her profile, but you can try Bridge Position and dragging it to the... left (I believe) to get a bit more of ski-jump kind of nose. 

 

You can also try lowering the mouth and making the lips a little thinner.
