What system do you play on? You may want to check to see if you have ever saved to the cloud (for example, Origin is often set to upload saves to the cloud, by default. At least it was for me, and I had to turn it off manually *shrug*).

Always start with the simplest thing first - completely rebooting your system. If on the PC, go into Documents -> Bioware -> Dragon Age Inquisition -> Saves, and see if you see any files. If yes, then try running a "Repair" on the game, through Origin. Then give it another try.

I tried to fix my problem with your instructions but , unfortunately, it did not seem to help. I guess i need to make a new character some day

but right now I feel I may need to take a break from this game for a while.

Indeed I've not tried to make a Qunari yet on the game but I likely will at some stage today as I'm almost through DA2 with my latest Hawke only have a couple of missions left. This one is a well done character I think. Although for mine I'm aiming for a more intimidating look for my first one I was thinking something along the lines of the DA2 Arishok or at least something similar as he had a quite intimidating look to him I thought. It depends on what options i have though but that's kind of what I have in mind for mine

I admit, I tried Arishok-like char to do, not successed / I did not have the patience, and I do not use MOD (yet) ... So finally I create him. Not bad at all, I think. He seems much more gentler than Arishok, true. But do not believe your eyes: he is pretty dangerous when angry ...

Sorry to read that your problems were not fixed. I can completely understand wanting to step away. Hopefully, you can come back to it at some point, and have fun with a new character.

One of the easiest things to do, if you should come back to the game, is making a quick copy of your Save folder (if on the PC), and then storing it in a separate folder either on the desktop, or another area of choice, on your HDD. I do this periodically (especially after creating new characters), and store the copies on an extra HDD that I have in my PC. Nice little security blanket.

Enjoy whatever game you end up playing.

Well I'm on the last mission now of DA2 jut need to work my way to the Gallows to slay Orsino and Meredith so won't be long before I try to create my first one

A couple more of "Archer Maxwell."

 

 

 

He's highly religious, as is his family, and believes he is the Herald of Andraste and was Chosen by the Maker.  (Which is a route I've never taken in this game, before.)  He has a Chaotic Good personality (to steal a D&D term) and so while usually answers questions kindly, is not afraid to get aggressive when the situation calls for it.

 

I think I might try the Cassandra romance with him, given his mindset.  Haven't done that one, yet, either.

 

In terms of his look, well, I have a certain predisposition to a "type" and it comes out in all my characters, no matter how hard I try - so he has some similarities to Kaaras, Drake, and Edric, in the nose and cheekbone area - but this time I was trying for a "Native American meets British Nobility" vibe, sort of a worldly but stern Silver Fox.  I think it came out nicely, despite the lookalike to my other males.

I prefer her with vallaslin, without it she looks plain. And I miss the hairstyles in DAO and DA2!

Loaded up an old save with Lavone and had a grand time in the Frostback Basin. I did miss her a bit and since she was missing like 3 shards to open the final door in the Oasis it seemed a waste to not finish that and take her through the DLC. She's currently waiting in the Deep Roads, doing a bit of Trespassing.

Shaved his beard after the Ordeal at Haven. Something about rising out of the ashes and rebirth he said. He did not shave his hair, because Skyhold is kind of cold and he didn't want to freeze to death.

Sadly the loss of his beard revealed that he had a resting sadface and a problem smiling. The picture is after all, him trying to send a charming smile to his paramour  ack, wrong word. Cass isn't married to the Maker. Yet.

After being asked twenty times if he was okay, he decided to let his beard grow back.

It kinda worked?

 

Feeling successful with his new beard, he let is hair grow out and believes himself ready to show his "awesome moves" to the empress of Orlais. 

Maker preserve us.

Tried to make a funny face, but he came out kind of cute.

Tried making a face using the controller. He's okay I think.

But damn, selecting colors for tattoos or make up is hard using those sticks.

And a happy, go lucky elf. Or well that was the plan. She disagreed.

After fooling around in the Character Creator for the past few days, I finally made a character I want to play.

He's my very first DA:I character, Daelyn (Dae for short).

 

I'm so excited to start playing him tomorrow!

(I spent too much time making him this evening, and now my bed's a-calling.)

Thank you!  Glad you like him.   And thanks so much for the link to that Mod!  I haven't installed any Mods yet, but I plan to soon.  I've been slowly browsing the Nexus and bookmarking my faves, but hadn't come across that one yet.  So... bookmarked!
