This is what I managed. I ended up not straying too far away from one of the presets but meh, I'm happy with it. ![]()

Took a few tries, as it seems most people have required, but I got the elf I was looking for. This is also with all the PC graphics on ultra settings.
I found the cheek shape to be quite hard to manage for some reason...

Bears some resemblance to my own inquisitor:

The above two female elves are AWESOME! I wish I could see your settings for building the elves; mine are always jacked up and look like they got hit with the ugly stick.... ![]()

Well. I guess this is ok for a human

I concur, the two elves above are amazing and I'd love to know how they were done!
Aeryn, dual-dagger tempest who's been there, done that, and has the marks to prove it.

Eleric, sword and board veteran of the Deep Roads, now just wants to break things and drink.

Probably the last screenies for my mage quizzy. Finally got to Skyhold! yay!
All these lovely femquizzy make me want to re-do my quizzy's face but I'm too far in to restart the game lol

I am really loving that outfit you've got!!! What armor type/style is it? Where did you get it?

Here's my character for my second playthrough. I got inspired last night and got him made. This is Auron the warrior, named after the character from Final Fantasy X:
At first I didn't like the crafting/modify system, but once I saw how different materials could change the color and texture of weapons and armor, I have to say that it is awesome. Screens below are using Hunter Coat schematic with drakestone base or was it drakeskin... something like that. The daggers are using Curved blade schematic Iron base with tier I grips, I forget what they are called.

Irish name pronounced "ee-fa" as in Aoife O'Donovan the singer. Aoife means “beautiful, radiant, joyful.”
Yup! I spend almost as much time naming my characters as I do crafting them. Names are important! They always have their meanings reflected in their owner's personality. Aoife is a joyful, radiant, impish, bubbly elfy rogue. Giggling all the while after pilfering your goods.

Hah. Finally seeing him after all the long months of pre-release. All he needs are some shades. Inquisitor Shades.
Hmm, now I'm thinking of the entire party wearing shades while slow power walking with Frostbite engine explosions behind them.

How does one create an Elf with no facial tattoos? I couldn't figure it out!

You just use the tattoo that has only these wing thingies under the eyes, set it to the first, most faint version and give it a light pinkish color (or whatever matches your skin) and taddaaa:
Is it just me, or is there a limit to how much you can change a character's appearance within their race? I don't think you can easily (if at all) model an elf or a qunari (or a dwarf?) Inquisitor on an actual human, like an actor or some such for example - with all the variances seen in this thread, elves/qunari/dwarfs always look like elves/qunari/dwarfs. It seems likely, then, that trying to, oh, say, model a qunari Inquisitor on a human actress may be either doomed to failure or just very, very difficult. Doing it for a human Inquisitor, of course, should be much easier, as we've seen.
It makes sense, of course, but as someone without the (apparently necessary degree of) skill or patience to pull it off, it just means doing the face wrangling thing until you're happy with what you've got. Which is pretty much how I've always done it before now, anyway.

I think they must just be very faint on that one...
