You just use the tattoo that has only these wing thingies under the eyes, set it to the first, most faint version and give it a light pinkish color (or whatever matches your skin) and taddaaa:
Basically that, yes. It's easier to do on more fleshy and tan and brown skintones. The very pale chalk one is a bit tricky to match and blend. Also, you can then put some blush overtop of the cheeks to help further blend it, either to use blush as a color or blush just as a highlight of the natural skintone.
Thank you to everyone posting here, great characters being posted. Don't have DAI yet, so this is just building the anticipation for me. Be lovely to see some older characters.
The facial structure looks a lot like Kestrel (someone posted the design earlier in this thread, sorry I forgot your username!)
The user posted sliders here: https://drive.google...Ylk&usp=sharing
Maybe that'll help you back on track ![]()
edit: The username was 'Reflection Muse'

I'm still working on mine, but I have a few "almost there" characters.
First, my least offensive human male. I've gotten as far as the Hinterlands with him, but I wish I could change his eyebrows and maybe make his skin one tone lighter(he kind of looks like he has spray on tan right now). Unfortunately, I haven't been able to recreate his facial structure again. Oh well.

Next up, my elven female mage. I'm actually pretty happy with her overall, but I don't want to go mage for my first play through, and after I finished with her I decided I wanted my elves to have the distinct Dragon Age 2 style noses.

And finally there's my elven female rogue. I've got the shape pretty much nailed down to the point that I can more or less rebuild her face from memory. Trying to figure out coloration still. I was going to make her albino(naming her the Eirwys), but I'm not sure I really like the result. Trying a few more options.

Here's what I meant about the nose:

I originally created this human which I was really pleased with.. then I had a crash and I lost her COMPLETELY. NOT happy lol.

Wonderful !!
Please, do you remember by chance which head you use (and maybe some sliders) ?
Fantastic job !
I used the head that has this hair style (or one that is very similar to it): http://imageserver.m...920&height=1080.
And the the most important sliders I remember touching are:
* jaws, thinner and higher
* ears, a little smaller and almost without earlob
* chin, shortening it a little and pushing it to the front making both lips to be aligned
* nose, smaller
* cheeks, a little rounder
* eyes, lowering them a little
* brows, making them have a little arch
And of course, I've played with the Iris colours ![]()
Is it just me, or is there a limit to how much you can change a character's appearance within their race? I don't think you can easily (if at all) model an elf or a qunari (or a dwarf?) Inquisitor on an actual human, like an actor or some such for example - with all the variances seen in this thread, elves/qunari/dwarfs always look like elves/qunari/dwarfs. It seems likely, then, that trying to, oh, say, model a qunari Inquisitor on a human actress may be either doomed to failure or just very, very difficult. Doing it for a human Inquisitor, of course, should be much easier, as we've seen.
It makes sense, of course, but as someone without the (apparently necessary degree of) skill or patience to pull it off, it just means doing the face wrangling thing until you're happy with what you've got. Which is pretty much how I've always done it before now, anyway.
I think they must just be very faint on that one...
I believe there was a comment mentioning just this from the creators - they wanted there to be more 'space' between humans and the other races rather than a human with pointy ears or a short human etc...
for elf tattoos to be invisible it would depend on your skin tone but here is an example. (You'd set the tattoo to be the most transparent of the 4 transparency options then make it between red/orange and try to match the skin tone)
Elven archer:

My Elven Rogue, Rikku

that's quite original and very interesting (to make a character that looks much older). I'm not sure the Bioware devs' have thought about it (tree dialogue may be the same) but you may encounter some situations a bit awkward because of the age difference. On the other hand, as the Inquisitor who has to lead people, this suits pretty well.
Good job.
edit : for typo
I might be a little nutty and simultaneously playing through the game on two different Inquisitors. Maybe. ![]()
This is my little Daelish mage, Kireth. I was going for an elf with golden tones and full, round features. I kept crashing constantly while going through the first cinematic, so I had to remake her around six times. Her blush ended up a little darker than I wanted, but I can live with it. The unfortunate result is that in my frustration, I didn't save her sliders. I could offer some tips to anyone interested, though. I started with head 1, face shape 1, skin tone 7, complexion 1, eye shape 4, mouth shape 2, and whoooole lot of tweaking.

A few more pictures under the spoiler tag.
As an aside, I finally stopped my crashing during cinematic scenes after a couple days of very frustrating trial and error. There are a few things I set to Medium in my Graphics options, and that seemed to be what was needed (and as you can see by my screenshots, the quality didn't really suffer much). Those options were:
I suspect shadows, post-process, and effects are the main culprits. I hope that helps some of you who have been crashing constantly during cut scenes.

My elven mage. Stuck with default name cuz I suck at names.
1) He looks spectacular, great job! ![]()
2) What is he wearing? It's amazing and hides the overly narrow elf shoulders! ![]()

I have been having lots of issues with sync between cloud and PC data.. i think thats how I lost her.

Thanks! And I believe it's called "Ancient Elven Robes" I found it in the exalted plains on a corpse in a cave/ruin.
