Morning Everyone,
Let me start by first saying I am NO expert in using the character creator. That said, I wanted to see if I can lend a suggestion or two to those that are struggling with making an Inquisitor worthy of your company for 100+ hours. A kind poster asked my to give slider info on one of my creations Hugo...

I love how he came out.... in all honesty though I failed in what I was trying to recreate.. Hugo Stiglitz...

What I found the most important was the guidelines I was using though. I have to say shame on bioware for not giving us some kind of user friendly tool we can use to share creations without having to do time consuming screenshots of every point of detail in the creator...which itself makes no sense because I found myself constantly going back and forth to make tweaks...maybe a future patch. To my main point, I can tell a lot of you here are pouring hours into the creator only to sometimes come out with something wonky at the end because of a missed angle you didn't look at or a proportion out of whack.
So the "solution" if you can call it as such that proved the most helpful was this:
Think of a character you like in film or reality and do a google search for images. use the search tool and filter for the largest file size ( for detail purposes ). Find 1 picture of a dead-on as possible front view of the character. This is for the overall face shape, ear position to eyeline, front-on forehead proportion, mouth to nose, mouth to chin spacing, overall nose shape, length and nostril size/position and jaw to outside eye border proportion.
Next find a best you can close up of that characters eyes to assist with the inside and outside iris colors. I have noticed as many others have that the eyes can make or break how realistic the character looks and emotes in game.
Lastly and very important, find as good as possible side profile. This will give secondary ear positioning, side forehead/brow proportions, lip sizing an accordance to chin proportions ( impossible to tell with just head on use of the creator ) and great use of jaw structuring.
If at hand, save the images and place them on an ipad or similar device and have it with you as you use the creator..this helped me a lot!
I have included a couple of pics of good examples below of what I spoke of above and for those to use as practice ( it is Morton Harket by the way of past A-ha fame who I might add has aged better then most in the music industry
hope this helps a bit and enjoy the Inquisition !
Morton Harket
