That's the part of the mage quest you can do to unlock Redcliffe without getting locked out of the templar quest. The next video in that playlist shows how you go back to Haven and then you have the option to pick a side, locking the other.

Listening to everyone talk about her I think it probably went like this: she was crying for one reason or another and it started snowing. One snowflake, larger and brighter than any other snowflake, connected to a tear and a bright light shone. A magic moonbeam connected to her tear as the snowflake hit it, and suddenly she could talk to dolphins, whales, mice, and giant octopuses.

Ahh, I see. She also doesn't age. Maybe the DW fell in love with her too when he saw her cry and granted her immortality.

Blackwall and Vivienne approve.

Varric slightly approves.

 

I think it's interesting that Sera greatly disapproves of both as unrestricted allies, while Blackwall approves of both as such.

I was correct that choosing templars gave us a leaderless Order.

 

It's really weird that Cass greatly approves, yet the next scene at the war room she's complaining about the decision. Leliana is against it. And the uploader cut before I saw any other reactions.

And oh, I understand it now. Cass wanted some kind of trial in that other path. In this one, Cass defends our choice to Cullen.

Well going by taking the mages and prisoners/conscripts leliana notes how could Cass go along with it I think this is a case of in the moment Cassandra was not really thinking it through in the templars  case and at that moment she approved. Hell she notes in her first conversation that she rushes decisions hastily and regrets the choice later I think this is one such case.

 

I wonder how the approval will go if instead you disband them and get them to join the inquisition.

Yeah... Or maybe she just backs us up because she understands making those decisions on the fly isn't easy. I saw a convo with her after the mage quest that went like that.

Is there anyway we can free them from this fake Calling? I'd already hate that we are forced to fight and kill so many Wardens. I would like to at least know that I can save many wardens as much as possible.
