Dear Bioware,
Before I experience your newest installment of the Dragon Age series, no doubt a product of great passion and hard work, I wanted to take a moment to express how much the two released Dragon Age games mean to me, and how they affected me as a person.
Dragon Age Origins was the first RPG I had ever played, It allowed me to craft my own story and meet characters that felt real, as if they were my friends.
Throught the entire story,I connected with my protagonist, he became a part of me.For a first time in a video game, I could put a piece of myself in the character I was playing as, and interact with other characters that seemed more interesting and intellegent than most people I knew in real life, it was fascinating to me.
Among other things, the game helped my english skills immensly, I come from a non english-speaking country that is fairly uncivilized and my english skills before I played Origins were an utter disaster, I could barely express myself in written form and my grammar and spelling were horrific, I'd say even borderline unreadable.
The interesting plot and characters of Dragon Age inspired me to want to explore the language further, I wanted to understand what these characters were saying, since they were truly fascinatingly written, so I strived to improve my english.
The Dragon Age games were so compelling, they were an emotional experience for me too. They made me live through exciting circumstances and think about my morality in new ways, something my boring life would never allow me to experience.
Dragon Age expanded my ways of thinking, it opened my mind in many ways, and helped me accept myself for who I am.
This might sound odd to some people, but I felt as if I grew as a person after playing through the DA games.I became a fan instantly and I treasure the moments I had in these games to this very day.
What I'm trying so say is that the Dragon Age franchise is more than entertainment to me.It helped me grow as a person both intellectually and emotionally and it sparked my interest in learning the english language, that will hopefully stick with me for the rest of my life.
Thank you Bioware, sincerely,a fan with endless gratitude, admiration and appreciation.
