I just received this in my email -

View online click here.

Thank you for your interest in Dragon Age: Inquisition. In order to avoid a breach of local content laws, Electronic Arts has withdrawn Dragon Age: Inquisition from sale in India. Unfortunately, that means we're unable to fulfill your Origin order. You will be refunded for your purchase, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

If you have any questions, click here.

But I don't live in India. Why do I have to get screwed?! How am I going to play the game now? I was looking forward to this so much...

Ugh, I feel ill. What am I supposed to do now?

Where DO you live?

Maybe you could contact bioware/ea and inform them? Its probably a mistake relating to IP adress or something if you live near India.

I live in Bangladesh, which is just beside India. I don't believe we are considered a separate region. So pulled from India means pulled from Bangladesh.

If it's not the case, I will be very happy. But I don't think so.

Definitely contact them then. But that's awful! I wonder if there's a way you can use a VPN to get around it if they say no.

Confirmed that 'India' includes Bangladesh.

I have never used VPN. How can it help me in this instance? I've already pre-ordered the game. Well, I had before it got canceled.

Almost certainly nudity. But Origins and II sold just fine, so I have no clue what the big deal is. Blasted morality police...

Here

(You can use this to get it early I'd assume).

Might have an issue with them throwing a fit at you purchasing it but hopefully they won't give you any trouble =/ Try to use paypal to pay if you can it goes through immediately.

Inquisition has more nudity than Origins. Actual exposed breasts/butts vs the underwear, plus generally more profanity and sexual references, it seems. So it must have been over some threshold the others weren't.

Hope the VPN works out for you!

Thanks. I'll take a look.

Unfortunately Paypal is not available in my country, so I'll have to pay with credit card. Given that sale in this region is technically banned now, I'm not sure they'll accept the payment. I don't much fancy getting into a legal wrangle with EA.

If you have friends or family out of the country couldn't they mail the game to you if you give them the money?

That's the last option. I might have to try just that.

Hi,

Did your order get cancelled yet? Or is it that you just got the email?

Does the game still show up in your origin client?

Just got the e-mail, which pretty much says that the order was cancelled. The game still shows up, but I was told it will go away before release date.

Make sure you click on the extra links the e-mail has provided you, oh , and also remember to provide your credit card details to them to ensure a smooth refund. While you are at it please also give them your real-life name, date of birth, passport number and bank account details to ensure smooth transactions in the future... lol.

P.S. What I am trying to say is before you do anything please make sure the e-mail is legit...

Just to make sure you didn't contact EA support through any links in that email right? Because I didn't find anything about India banning / pulling the game when googling the matter.

Another question: did you get a serial code for the game yet?

I got the key and now I am pre-loading the game despite getting the email that it is not available in India. I am also using VPN to do so!
