So...a quick question for the people who have already bought the game...what is the date of release being shown to you? And if it's later that 18th Nov...are you planning to Unlock it early via the VPN trick...

just want to know when we can the confirmation if the game is working or not...a lot of us are depending on you let us know if the game will work or not...

Thanks in advance to brave ones who have ventured into the unknown

I don't get it.
How are people finding reps who say it'll work?
I've tried 4 times so far and each time they tell me you wouldn't be able to activate it from India.

I'd take anything these online execs have to say with a pinch of salt, at this moment.

There has been no official statement / reasoning laid out by any party yet.

All will clear up in the next few days. I just hope the PSN/XB digital versions don't get pulled in the meantime.

It doesn't really matter how I guess cos it shows that EA support itself is poorly informed from the higher aboves  or whatever the reason. Best not to take their word as fact and wait longer for a more official response.

Wasn't there a post on reddit saying that their legal team is trying to get it released?

Yes but once again all this is anecdotal. Unless info comes out as official statements, we never know what is truly going on.

'Nope.

Why not do a more thorough research?

15ccbgk.png

The link to "India" above is the CBFC page on Wikipedia. They are the gaming certification control board, even though there is only 'film' in the board's name. They are generally referred to as "Censor Board".

http://en.wikipedia....m_Certification

Bullshit...Wiki page can be edited...There is no mention of games on their site..Not a single game is mentioned on CBFC site...

Plus if they were rating games like films then it would show on the box just like films U/A rating...There is no CBFC rating mark on games...There is NO GAME RATING BOARD in India..Got it?  You have to show me a more reliable proof coz i refused to believe that CBFC rates video games here....

Now back to topic...

Hey..i read on some other forum that once you've downloaded ~10Mb...you can disconnect from the VPN..and the download will still keep running...you can try that..

Brilliant. You got from Amazon.com, am I right?

Yes, from Amazon.com. I tried disconnecting after 1gb didnt work.

But given that the game is not allowed in the country, would they have any ground to do so? I too think it is unlikely they will remove, but better always be 100% sure.

The pre-load date without using VPN is november 17 22:30 so if I can pre-load it after that without VPN I think they won't remove the game. A couple of my friends bought BF3 in the same way without any issues.

If they were to remove the game, they would have already done that. If anything it might prevent you from downloading it. We'll have to wait and see. As for me i'm pre-loading with a VPN now.

Same here, but I will leave a 100mb or so at the end and will try it without VPN after 22:30 tomorrow.

I am surprised it hasn't been banned in Russia too, since it is clearly violating Russian propaganda laws.

 Dont give them any ideas!!

Steve and Samantha were fully gay so it's not that.

yes but bioware publiczied it  in trailers and blogs so that may be the reason that bioware didnt hide one character in the closest about his sexual pref, so with india bring back there anti-gay laws, i can see the problem, EA/BioWare are not the ones to blame about a character being openly gay, the problem is that india brought back the anti gay laws about being open in publicly knowing and that in the eyes of india is like shooting someone in public after they brought back that public cant shoot people in public, let alone in their house.

Twas only a joke. But you're right. The people who want to leave because things not being how they want it should stay. Create a revolution of change.

oh i think you meant the sexual  inqusition  since its not just about the anti gay thing its about all sexual content being watched and played in india

Someone have probably found a way to circumvent the use of VPN.

If I open the Origin store in plain browser and log-in - it doesn't show the game at all.

Someone suggested me to use

http://ninjacloak.com/

and while I entered

https://www.origin.c...ad/role-playing

and logged in with my credentials, the game did appear on the store (however, the price was in USD). And yes I was able to add that to my cart.

Can anyone enlighten us about what's all about this? Is this another VPN or something else?

Ninjacloak is a proxy server. When you enter a link into it, it routes your request through it's own servers. think of it as a browser version of a VPN software..
