You probably have to pay for some sort of professional VPN service where your IP is routed to some US server, if such a thing exists and is not illegal in country of origin. I'd be careful too because if you did actually do this, it sounds like you'd be breaking Indian law and could be brought up on obscenity charges if caught.

 

If you had the money just take a cheap vacation to some country where it is legal and go to a game cafe and play it for a few weeks. 

 

I dunno, this is India after all and I'm sure you could probably buy a PS4 (or god forbid an Xbone!!) and someone has an import copy somewhere... and just play it offline.

 

Pay someone in the US (or Japan, really, etc. etc.) with a fiber line (or better+) and RDP (or whatever software exists for running a 3d app remotely) into their custom gaming server box..easy stuff. Just again, you'd probably be breaking the law....hahahahaha.

If that's true, then all my condolences to India. Being german I know how annoying censorship from government-institution can be. At least we don't have a problem with sex though...but brutal killing is a no go ... and for some weird reason brutal killing of EVIL NAZIS is even more worthy of banning ... always found that one strange

Jebus, are you still on about this? Yeah, it sucks, but just use a VPN to buy and activate the game and it will work. As long as you are connected to the VPN there is no way for Origin to see that you are in India.

If you want to play online you use a VPN even when playing, though you will get worse pings. If you don´t want to play online then just activate the game with the VPN and then go offline in Origin. When you want to update the game, connect to the VPN again.

It is not hard.

For some people it is. Go to Russia. That's all they do there, virtually...is play xbox360 games offline.

Yup, I bought it yesterday late night when I found it to be the cheapest option. As Alvin said,now just have to hold on till 20th to see if it works. Hopefully will be getting my hands on FC4 by then as well.

I read about this on the Escapist yesterday and was quite surprised by it, given the hermaproditic nature of Vishnu, you'd think they'd be culturally above this kind of thing.

Bullshit...Wiki page can be edited...There is no mention of games on their site..Not a single game is mentioned on CBFC site...

 

Plus if they were rating games like films then it would show on the box just like films U/A rating...There is no CBFC rating mark on games...There is NO GAME RATING BOARD in India..Got it?  You have to show me a more reliable proof coz i refused to believe that CBFC rates video games here....

I hope this isn't because of censorship laws. I remember watching 300 on an Indian channel a few years ago. They edited EVERY single fight/sex scene in the movie. They literally took out half of the friggin film and made it family friendly. I'm serious, they actually managed to turn it into a PG film. It was the most hilariously sad thing I had ever seen in my life. Too many countries have ridiculous censorship systems. Makes me so grateful to live in Canada. I would go insane if I couldn't play DAI because just because my government decided that it was immoral and that it will corrupt society or some bullshit like that. Its a really annoying situation to be in =/
