Purchase was on a MacBook Pro with Google Chrome browser. (Should work on Windows, but recommend Chrome)

Ok, I first installed Hola and then switched the country to a different country and then logged into Origin. Login with the account you want to play the game with.

It then showed me DAI for pre-order and I ordered it with my credit card.

Purchase Process -

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
First add the game to your cart, then proceed till checkout and then disable Hola before you enter your card details. The Debit / Credit card that you use should be an international card and allow international transactions on it. Basically any payment mechanism that you use should support international payments. Check the card that you are using, it will be listed on it if it is international or not. I entered a valid US address (my office address), but I am not sure if this makes a difference.
Then the purchase goes through fine and I am billed USD 45 or INR 2777 for the Digital Deluxe edition.
Then opened Origin store to verify if the purchase went through and go to "My Games" DAI will be listed there and if you are not on VPN then it will show Indian release dates (17th Pre Order & 21st Release).
Then went to my Windows Machine and fired up VPN.
Logged into Origin and it showed dates that corresponded to the country of the VPN.
It allowed me to pre-load the game, so I pre-loaded, it took me 7 hrs to download 24 GB. But it is now done and game has installed. Waiting for the game to launch so that I can play it.
Hola - https://hola.org/
VPN - http://www.vpngate.net/en/
Process is really easy nothing to be afraid about.
It will launch Origin to start the game....Has anyone tried buying it from there?
Is this the only method to play the game ? You have to do so much effort to play a ****** video game..lol..
You don't have to do any of that. If you read the posts in this thread, you will get an answer.
Few questions -
1.Can i just use Hola to add the game to my Library after purchase and play it on 21st when it's released here without VPN?
2. Will it work on Firefox?
3 - Is it safe to enter credit card details while on VPN or using Hola?
Use firefox
Start Hola
once ur on Mex- Origin
add the game to cart
turn off hola
Log In using your account
Proceed with payment
Open Origin client and the game will be in your list.
And as your buying from A different region u will be accepting Terms and conditions for that region..So the Indian content laws will not apply for your product..Since you did not purchase it from India..
You people are geniuses... I'm glad I don't live in India, but this thread would be a lifesaver.
BTW I read they banned it due to the homosexuality, not the boobs.  Is that true?
My only confusion regarding buying from Origin using VPN - credit card address verification. International credit card or no, the address is for this region i.e. Bangladesh. Might that lead to trouble later on?
1. I am also not entirely sure, but I think that should work. I expect to be able to play the game post 21st without VPN.
2. I have used Chrome and it worked for me. I would recommend Chrome. Different browsers can have different issues and problems with their plugins, so what worked on Firefox need not work on Chrome and vice a versa.
3. I would not recommend entering credit card details when Hole proxy is running. I turned OFF Hola proxy before entering my credit card details. Also so far there have been no spurious transactions. Also the page in which you make the payment is SSL enabled and encrypted, so it will be safe. But to repeat, TURN OFF Hola proxy before entering your credit card details.
I have never had that issue of address verification. The address that you enter is only for billing purpose, it has nothing to do with address of your credit card. So address verification is nothing to worry about.
Also if you are thinking that your purchase will be reverted or cancelled because of the billing address that you enter while buying then I have good news for you. That is not going to happen.
It's Monday today. Wonder if EA would come out and give a proper explanation or update. I know there are official gaming news sites that have reached out to them.
They haven't specifically mentioned what it was,could be anything.Only thing we know is they pulled the game out to avoid breaking some"digital content laws" apparently,
haven't got any specific clarification or anything from EA or their customer representatives.So its all guesswork.
A Little Update
Game4U has officially withdrawn DAI sales in India(They received statement from EA today morning telling them to do so). Flipkart will be following soon.
As for those of us who bought by other means.
Single player mode should work
Multi player mode may or my not work( In game Micro transaction in the multiplayer mode will definitely not)
Pre load May or May not happen
Future Patches may or may not work
As the game will be taken down from the Indian server where all the game data is stored..(this remains to be seen)
When i asked if there was a chance for the game to launch any time in future
He said it wont happen unless
The developers Remove the faulty content
or
the content laws are changed by the government
When asked what about the XBL and PSN versions of the game
They said
What happens to those versions will be seen...
Got this mail:
"Due to regional policy retrictions that operate in India we regret to inform you that the product you have bought - Dragon Age Inquisition - will not work properly.
In this case we have decided to refund the order made by you. We are sorry for the problem!
Please bear in mind that this is due to external policy that does not result from G2A's policy. "
Are they also pulling the physical console versions from their stores?
I'll be interested to see if the digital versions remain on psn/xbox live cos if they do then our theory would be correct that they are not pulled because those stores are hosted in EU/Singapore respectively where the game is not cancelled.
I suppose EA could figure a way to block it for Indian accounts even if the stores themselves are hosted elsewhere, though I suppose that will take longer and will need to work with Sony/Microsoft to achieve it. Regardless for PSN at least you can always buy blocked content by signing up for a US account though that does explicitly breach their TOS.
I've tried VPN, but it accepts neither my cards, nor my Paypal. In these circumstances, I don't know what to do. I'll try a couple other external sites, but I have no hope.
Amazon.com might be the last hope. It gives the keys immediately which can be redeemed with no issue.
