So does this mean it won't be possible to buy from Origin via VPN? I want that option since I want future DLCs.
But I guess at this point I better stop being so picky and take what I can get.
Inquisition not available in India. WHY?!

Amazon.com might be the last hope. It gives the keys immediately which can be redeemed with no issue.
but if g2a keys are not working, whats the guarantee those would work too??

I have never had that issue of address verification. The address that you enter is only for billing purpose, it has nothing to do with address of your credit card. So address verification is nothing to worry about.
Also if you are thinking that your purchase will be reverted or cancelled because of the billing address that you enter while buying then I have good news for you. That is not going to happen.
Since apparently buying from third party retailers won't work either, this might be the only way to get a digital version. I trust you are right and hope that credit card payment over VPN works for me.

i was just thinking what if we just make new accts using vpns from another region and use those specifically for this game, that way we ll get all future dlc/stuff.But we will need to use vpn everytime ,for updates and all, other than that whats the harm playing in offline??

If you are using a VPN there is no necessity to buy from Origin. If you use a US VPN (via Hola for example) you can use the following sites that officially offer the game:
Amazon.com / Amazon.co.uk : At least one person on reddit tried this and got a key that worked.
Direct2Drive
GamersGate: I bought my key from here, got it in 10 minutes, and it activated on Origin without a VPN. Also while I used Hola to add the game to cart and purchase it, my Indian debit card worked just fine.
Green Man Gaming: Another option, the too accept Indian debit cards, but whether they will work when connected via a VPN I don't know.
I don't know how Origin handles things, but my experience with Steam has been that if you use a valid key, or someone gifts you a game that is not available in India (in my case Fallout 3, and Fallout: New Vegas) it will work without issues.
I don't think it should be any different in this case. The code I bought worked, Dragon Age: Inquisition in showing up on my Origin account. Time will tell if I will be able to launch it though, but I have every reason to expect it will.

This was my most anticipated game of the year... Now I can't buy it??... errr... The worst thing about this is its actually banned due to homosexual content in the game... It really sucks... I thought ppl were more mature than that... its a game for god's sake...

quote from the link you put.
This could be due to explicit content in addition to some sexual content related to homosexuality. Whatever the reason, the bottom line is, DAI won’t be officially released in India.
Still no official statement from EA,so we are not sure what the reason is,whatever it may be,we all are in a tough spot due to it.

Not sure Raz - it's pre-ordered but the preload hasn't started here, nor have I been charged for the game yet.
Hence it's technically not in my Library haha.
Let's see what Rishi has to say - he said he had some new news over at IVG a few hours ago...

Just play other games now..ACU is great and Farcry 4 also looks good...GTA V next year..
EA can go **** themselves now...Can't believe they are stopping gamers from redeeming 3rd party keys ....THEY DON'T WANT INDIANS TO PLAY THIS GAME
Only option is VPN..Run VPN and other software while playing the game....So much trouble for one game :|

Well I don't think this would make a difference because as of now accounts are not region locked only the stores are region locked. I think VPN might work or go for amazon...people are having success (so far) with that.

Milestone Interactive, the local distributor of EA confirmed that they will not sell the retail copies. So this means no availability of physical copies from Flipkart,Amazon.in,Game4U etc. Reason stated - in-game content.

Well, it has already activated, I got the key and it shows up in my account. I will update when the preload starts.

I don't have a working PC right now and the upgrades might delay me for as long as a month or more, so on that front I'll be fine waiting. It's almost good for me in that sense cos I can wait and see how much success people have and how many restrictions (if any) EA will end up adding. Anyway none of the other games no matter how good will match up to DAI for me as this is my favourite series not those. ![]()

well my concern is if we connect the origin client even if for some other game to indian servers, who knows if inquisition might get flagged and pulled down. Can they pull a game down after its activated once>????
In that regard setting up a separate acct specifically with a vpn would bypass ,all such worries.

You can use a VPN to pre load right now. SoftEther VPN with South Korean server works fine.
