I never played multiplayer in any game as I prefer single player exclusively. I might break that trend for this game though....
I too generally avoid avoid multiplayer, but kinda enjoyed the ME3 multiplayer, and was looking forward to at least trying this. Not heartbroken about it, though, and who knows, hopefully it will just work.
I just grit my teeth and got the game via my buddy in US as well... game activated without any problem, without VPN, shows preload starts 17th November, after 22:30... so will update 2 and half hours from now to tell you guys if its preloading without VPN or not!

The game starts . Its in English. Campaign starts perfectly
And you only need VPN initially to activate it..then u can turn it off
However every time you restart origin you need your VPN to be on.. afterwards you can turn it off(You wont need to do this post 21st after launch)
Im not going to start playing right away as i have not yet finished playing DA2.. so will hold off until i complete the DA 2 story
Got my key from cdkeys.com and redeemed it successfully,without VPN. Have to download and play.

Honestly for as few sales as that article mentions, I don't think it's an overreaction. Especially when you consider the kind of abuse people get when they offend the sensibilities of some of ultra-conservative Indian organizations. It was just last year that a man educating people against superstition was killed. Another had to flee the country when there were threats made against him.
EA has the difficult job of balancing the safety of their employees against the value of releasing in India. I'd rather they do this than avoid developing games with any such content at all.
If there are so few people buying the game in the whole country, I'd think it's not even that much of a risk releasing it. But yes I agree I'd rather this than they outright censor their content or release the un-censored version and get it actually banned. Those are far worse.

So, keys are working without VPN.? .Should i go ahead nd buy GMG cd key on 21st November?..Iam in no hurry of playing it now as iam busy with ACU
Also, i think G2A CD keys will also work....There is no proof that those cd keys won't work..They are covering their ass to avoid legal issues by canceling Alvin's pre-order....

Ya, there is no proof that cd keys are not working..They canceled Alvin's pre-order to avoid legal issues..Order again on 21st then they will immediately hand over the key i think...Try it then....Don't pre-order...

Yes try without VPN by completely turning off your internet..
And try again with your normal net active....

You dont need vpn to launch game
ever since i finished my download i had not even started my vpn
You only need to use VPN while logging into Origin..(this because the game launch date was 21st so the game will be greyed out if you dont do it)
Once you have logged in you can turn your VPN off...
You can launch-Quit your game as many times as you want. You dont need VPN for that..since you are already logged into the Server with your IP as Korean.

That's the thing, I don't think they find the players threatening, just the current climate. As of right now it is almost in a grey area, it isn't banned and as such it is not outright illegal to purchase or play the game. The only people who could stop you from playing are EA, and why would they? As you said before, they get your money either way!

I activated my key without a VPN, and my preload begins at 22:30, I'll report if / when it works.
I too think that G2A keys should work, but you'll probably need to trick them into selling them like any other international store. Although I think we already have a number of people here who have purchased their codes from diverse sources. Let's see which all work, and others can base their decisions on that.
If anyone want to test the MP component with me, my id is the same xitij2000, but I too will only try it after 21st (assuming my patience holds!)
