I activated my key without a VPN, and my preload begins at 22:30, I'll report if / when it works.

Bought from Origin Mexico through Hola, payment through CC, Indian address. Game's up in client, preload starts in an hour here in India.

 

I have never done so much research for buying a game legally(well, sort of). Sheesh, now let's see what happens on 21st.

Alright then. I'm going to hold my nose and dive in. Buying from Origin Mexico with Hola and then using Korean VPN to download. 

 

I just want to make sure I know what I'm doing. 

 

Step 1: Use Hola to enter Origin Mexico. 

 

Step 2. Load Dragon Age Inquisition Digital Deluxe Edition to the cart. 

 

Step 3. Log off Hola and enter CC details. Purchase DA:I. 

 

Step 4. Log onto Origin client using VPN (SoftEther) Game should be in Library. 

 

Step 5. Start Download/Preload. 

 

(Optional) Step 6: Load a significant amount before disconnecting VPN. Reconnect VPN before download ends. 

 

Step 7: Start game. Log onto Origin account with VPN. 

 

Step 8: Start praying and hopefully, start playing.

I can confirm as well

 

The game starts . Its in English. Campaign starts perfectly

 

And you only need VPN initially to activate it..then u can turn it off

 

 

However every time you restart origin you need your VPN to be on.. afterwards you can turn it off(You wont need to do this post 21st after launch)

 

Im not going to start playing right away as i have not yet finished playing DA2.. so will hold off until i complete the DA 2 story

4-5 days assuming u put it on 24 hours, which most of us cannot considering work and FUP limits so major downloading on weekend, would take roughly 10-15 days or even more.

you can get cheap "ahem" copied discs and copy the data files to origin folder to save time.Will be done much easier.

From where exactly? Remember no one is selling the hard copies here, either legally or otherwise.

If you have a friend who is also downloading the game, you can just copy their downloads into your origin folder, it will simply run the installer on your computer in that case. I have done this many times, it works. This is especially useful if said friend has a better internet connection.

But as things stands now its highly unlikely. And the keeps is working smooth has well.. and best part is you dont need vpn for it...

Its just my guess but i dont think You even need DAI to access the keep..

i believe keep is not working on indian servers,so that would work for us regardless.The thing is to get the world state files safely to our game,for which i believe we would need vpn/or no need vpn depending on if the indian servers for inquisition exist or not.

Can anyone update me on what console player can do. I mean will there be retail version of the game out or the only option to play is through XBOX or PSN store?

 

And even then will XBOX n PSN store sell it anymore?
