Just wanted to throw in my sympathies to people who have to work extra hard to get the game now. Whatever the reasoning behind this it's stupid and close-minded.
Inquisition not available in India. WHY?!

I would be so angry if this is the reason.

Back then LGBT relations were legal. Now it's not. I'm completely certain its because of that the game's not available in our country.
Also there is a workaround for this. You can still play it in india if you purchase it via origin abroad. I asked one of my best friend lives in the US to buy it for me via Origin. Now it shows on my Origin account available for preload on monday night.
This is true. The anti-LGBT laws were removed back when those games were released and now they're back in effect full force.
If buying from another country, third party retailers or importing would work with absolutely no issue that is some relief. But didn't someone post a quote from a EA customer service that this could be risky and might not work? Also what of the multiplayer? Using a VPN could also potentially get you banned I hear.

Then perhaps that is the cause. Won't know for sure unless Bioware confirms it, or we see the same in other countries that hold similar laws.
This is a poor excuse for piracy, this is out of Bioware's hands. They cannot force a nation to overlook their laws. It is an unfortunate situation, but piracy is taking it out on the wrong party. Basically a man offers you candy, your mother says no, so you strike the man because you couldn't get it, only it wasn't his fault.
Even if you take those routes, you won't be able to import your game from the Keep

As far as i am aware using a VPN isn't illegal and won't get you banned. I'll notify you all if have any issues when the preload starts.
And don't really care for multiplayer.

Please do. I'm going to wait until 18th/21st and see the lay of the land before making any decision about what to do. Don't want to rush in and potentially waste money.

So, i took the plunge and bought the game using a VPN. it's showing up in my origini account with a preload date of 17th. Gonna try using the VPN again to preload.

So let me understand this...your friend bought the copy using your account in US? or did he buy it on a separate Origin account that you now use to log in from India? Guess what I'm asking is whether the Origin account itself is tied to a country regardless of location or if it changes depending on where you access it from.

To anyone affected by this, since the retail versions come with Origin codes in the box, I'm sure some BSNers could pick up a retail copy for you in exchange for the price and send you the code to enter and activate immediately. (I'm sure amazon/eBay third party sellers will do so too.) I would volunteer, but as I'm in the UK now retail copies won't be available until Friday so you can get it from people in the Americas sooner.

If that is possible, please let us know what to do in order to get the code when the game releases

Exactly where did you buy from(which country's ip)? Plus, how did you pay for it and which VPN did you use?

Where did you buy it from, if I may ask? I am looking at the Mexican store, but online features will probably be restricted even if I get it to run. I will probably wait for release for more information, don't want to buy a gimped game.

Yeah best not to jump in and do something hastily if you can't afford to. There will be numerous people who will test different ways out at release and and we can then proceed to choose the best course of action to get the game running. I just hope there would be a non-illegal way to get it working.

Because boobs.
Though I'm not sure why Bioware couldn't just release a censored version.
Censored version!!! Are we really condoning this attitude?
Next time someone will say - just release an audio-book of Inquisition and throw it to us! Total visual censorship! Oh wait, the audio may have some "culture-offensive" noise/sounds! Good, let them just see the images (at HiRes) and be happy with it.

Once again using a VPN is completely legal. If you have a friend or relative living abroad, you can ask them to buy it if you think using a VPN is illegal (once again its not). Lucky for me i have two close relatives and a best friend who live abroad. My friend bought it for me a few hours ago.

I used firefox with hola unblocker and set it to Mexico. opted to using my Credit card instead of paypal as i heard people had some issues buying with it. I'm not sure if online features would be restricted or not, but i'm not really interested in the MP side of DAI. It'd be a plus if MP works without any issues but i don't care either way. i'll let you guys know if i encounter any problems with it.

Its got nothing to do with the censorship laws here ,dragon age 1 ,2 me 1,2 and 3 were released here uncensored ,Ea has some issues with its distributor here which it couldnt /or didnt want to solve. Now they have left us no option to get this game.
There're always options my dear friend!

It's an utter shame that a game is not available because of homophobia, assuming that is the reason.

I understand that VPN itself is not illegal. I'm more concerned that VPN is potentially against Origin's TOS (someone mentioned it somewhere...reddit maybe) and might get my account banned or something.
Could I ask if your friend bought the copy using your account in US? or did he buy it on a separate Origin account that you now use to log in from India? Never once has game suffered in India due to stuff like that. DAI contains just as much or even less violence than Shadow of Mordor and less nudity than the Witcher. It just doesn't make any sense.
Please be informed that there was this one game which suffered a similar fate in the yester-years. Fallout from Bethesda was, is and will remain banned from the country, since there has been some religious misunderstanding with the word "Brahmin" inside the game. However, for some strange reasons few of the Indian users have been able to buy it from Indian Steam account. Don't know, how!!!

I wouldn't worry about the language, they said that the english VO will be downloadable on release, so everyone should be able to get it.

It's not illegal to use a VPN to preload the game early. Using it to buy the game from another region cheaper is kinda iffy. You can always just buy it from a website like G2A or CJS CD keys
EDIT: as far as language is concerned, i'm pretty sure it's gonna be in english. if not, well, time to learn mexican lol. I'll let you guys know on the 17th
