about half the people playing BF4 have bought in mexico and not one has been banned so far
why would they start here?
There is no legal ban on the game so we should be fine. And i think MP will work too without any problems.

I don't know... I've never used VPN before so I don't know what EA's policy is on it or what they do to enforce it. I mean if it wasn't for the cancellation, I'd still be in an ignorant bliss about VPNs lol.

Its Technichaly a grey zone... they dont really like it... the worst thing that happend to people was that the account they usesd a VPN to buy with coulnt buy anything in the Future... all games purchased so far where not harmed!
so if you are reallly unsure.. create a secondary account and use that

If I do this I guess I'll have to reset world states on new account as Bioware's keep uses origin also?

You dont have a "place to put them"
It will not really scan them... if its the Same account you played the first two games with it will import your characters... the rest you will have to change by hand in the Keep
I will stick with DA KEEP Data then..
So guys do we have to use VPN for multiplayer even after 21? Also, for those who played MP, is it lagging much (and what internet speed are you on?)
Will Bioware ever release mod tools like Skyrim for DAI?
Will Bioware ever release mod tools like Skyrim for DAI?
I wish! But they've said there are no plans. Frostbite is also extremely hard to mod, so at most expect a few basic cosmetic mods from the community after a long time when they're able to figure it out.
I will start as Human Mage..What about you guys?
Day Zero patch as they termed it. Since the game was built keeping for all the platforms, hence there have been few buggy instances where the screen-clipping and air-floating affected the game-play severely.
Day zero patch - will be live only when the game goes global (i.e. on 21st Nov). So, it's safe to assume that we are not getting it before 22nd.
Though I may be completely off-topic, but I was wondering why they say that we can play as a Qunari-race, while we all know that it should have been "towering, horned men and women" races!
Secondly, just wanted to know - as someone has shared that (s)he can play the multiplayer too - what server is Origin latching onto (considering that Indian servers have been withdrawn by EA)? It's just a technical curiosity...
There was an article linked in this thread about how few people actually purchase these games in India. If that is accurate, then I don't think they ever planned to have an India-based server anyway.
Downloading without VPN right now; the download speed was abysmal. But I will definitely use the US VPN to start the game once it loads. Have to wait until Thursday.
I good pretty good speeds! It did however, sometimes drop speeds a LOT. This happened quite worryingly at around 99% with a few MB to go. But it worked out in the end. I probably got an average speed close to my max speed.
Ok it looks like the Mexican Origin is working for a lot of you guys (it's in English for sure right?) so that's probably the method I'll go for. I'm very concerned that if this is against Origin TOS (no idea if it is) they will remove it from my account. Whereas if I buy from 3rd party they can't remove it but I'll miss the deluxe edition...
I know, I know...probably overreacting and being too cautious.

I too was a little too worried about buying throuh Origin directly using VPN, especially at a rate cheaper than the Indian one. It's funny though, I thought they increased prices in India because people in other countries were abusing the low rates here to purchase via VPN.

I think they have stated that they don't plan to, what with a new engine and all. That doesn't mean though that people wont still find a way! Let's see, this is the first RPG I know of using this engine.

Most likely female elf mage. ![]()

Yeah I'd have bought it from 3rd party but I desperately want the Deluxe edition. I might actually go for Amazon physical copy cos a relative of mine is visiting India end of Nov so I can ship it to her home and she can easily carry it (only issue is if Amazon will not delay its shipping what with Black Friday coming along soon in US). I can't play for next few weeks anyway, running into delays upgrading my PC. Or if Amazon digital deluxe restocks soon that's good too.
Oh look this idiot is getting personal now. lol .Someone please ban his stupid ass so that we can discuss about DAI here peacefully
He has issues man, realized it like 10 pages back
.
Ignore him.
The EA Advisor I talked to assured me that the game, once unlocked, will never be removed from library.
i wouldn't ever believe an EA ad visor. they are mostly clueless, but i guess he might be right on this one.

As someone mentioned, using a VPN on this type of controversial purchase is a grey area, indeed but let's think of it this way. What are the worst scenario(s)? The game gets withdrawn from your account (I sincerely wish I am wrong and at this point I am just making an academic discussion, so no bashing please); there are two ways to deal with it.
One who bought DE/SE through EA Origin client (using VPN/tunnelling softwares), and the second group who bought the SE key(s) from other approved retailers.
In case somebody hasn't noticed - buying through the former way makes your game eligible for "Origin Great Game Warranty" which goes both ways - you can return the game within stipulated time-frame or EA takes away the game from your library, either case you get full refund.
For those who resorted to keys and let's say the game gets pulled down from the library, I am not exactly sure how or whether they will get back any refund(s).
I have followed the first way - seemed easier to me.
BOUGHT IT VIA MEXICAN STORE
bas ab EA drama naa karey faaltu ka..lol..
abe,you were gonna wait i thought. ![]()

Question is will they give full refund if they deem the purchase against their TOS?
GAME REMOVED FROM PSN AND XBOX INDIA STORE
