I am purely speculating right now, but offline mode may or may not work depending on how the game is developed.

 

If the DRM is strict and it has to login once when you launch the game to check if all is well, then we are going to have a tough time and the only way around it is a crack / no DRM patch, which I do not like for various reasons. Also if game needs net connection and pings a server regularly to sync / save game state, then again we have a problem. Most games these days expect a live connection to be available all the time.

It would suck royally if this was all a hoax created by EA to generate more hype around the game. Certainly, given all the outrage and number of posts regarding the cancellation of DA:I in many online gaming forums, it seems the game is enjoying free publicity. It won't be surprising to see many gamers who are generally not into RPGs getting tempted to try this game if only see the "content" for which the game was apparently "cancelled". Forbidden fruit and all..

Damn ... that'll really ****** people off ... or make em laugh ... but canceling pre-orders and returning money ... they wouldn't do that if it were a hoax, they'd just say something like DA:I may not be released in India due to saucy content and then they would announce one day before that all is well and release it ...

Damn ... that'll really ****** people off ... or make em laugh ... but canceling pre-orders and returning money ... they wouldn't do that if it were a hoax, they'd just say something like DA:I may not be released in India due to saucy content and then they would announce one day before that all is well and release it ...

Games like Witcher and GTA V are full of extreme mature content but R* and CD red never canceled their games here..Dunno why EA is so scared? ..Indian Govt....don't give a **** about video games....lol

No one knows yet. PSN is still selling the game, but who knows if it will be pulled as well even though the PSN store is coded as EU region in India. We'll have to just wait it out or hope they release proper statement concerning all this.

Once game is in your PS4 or Xone  library..Sony/MS will not remove it...

 

Deadpool was also pulled from all online stores by Activision but those who bought it was able to play it...

You can launch the game in offline mode. But you'll need an online connection while importing you world state from keep. Once you do, you can play in offline mode.

 I remember there was an issue about this back in April when the pre-order was first available. The devs confirmed you can play in offline mode.

Ok guys I asked around in the comment section of this IGN article and a moderator says I'll be able to play with a physical bought from a third party retailer. He has not however, yet answered questions regarding multiplayer etc.
