I hope there is a way to find out what Fergus is doing and how Highever in general is.

We do end up in Ferelden.  Never know. might go to Highever.

On the Warden Cousland? Haven't seen anything on that. There is a minor wartable mission where you can send an envoy to share condolences on the Divine's loss with the Teyrn of Highever. Name isn't specifically mentioned (that I recall),but Leliana's option mentions that she knows him.

I would certainly hope so. What they did to Zevran in DA2 was bad enough but Merrill too.

I wouldn't say that. The haircut is mannish I agree, but her face is actually rather attractive, if a little pinched.

i'd put it 60/40 that the elf who's tattoos, armor, and face( fairly close) looks like Merrill is probibly Merrill.

A ton better than DA2 at least. Like much of DAI, its a mix of DAO and DA2. I'm alright with it.

Seeing highever would be cool, but I've not seen it mentioned, just Redcliffe. Which is cool and all, but it'd be nice to see a new city if we're returning to Ferelden, highever or gwaren would be the obvious choices.

I've yet to see a list of ALL the places we will be able to visit. But I know some of them are like one time visits, so you never know.

All of the old characters look almost nothing like they did in previous games. BW did a worse job recreating them than they did in DA2. Which is saying a lot because they used a potato as a reference point when they recreated Alistair in DA2.
