It appears IF there WAS a event where Hawke dies and the Inquisitor does not choose to save him then this song MAY play during that event as we slowly watch Hawke face death.

I was a bit indifferent to hawke but with inquisition I actually like him as a character. It just seems like he is one of those characters who won't achieve any happiness no matter how much they try. It is tragic but it makes the character interesting to me mostly due to the character's psychology at that time.

Man the Hawke haters are going to have a field day with this. Expect topics like "I'm glad Hawke died like scum" and "I enjoyed killing Hawke". I'm not looking forward to that. Also, the theme kind of confirms Hawke can die since it is too sad to have anything else to do with Hawke. I'm never killing Hawke and don't look forward to seeing the death on youtube.

Well remember from what I heard Hawke's death will only happen if you let the execution happen. Choosen to save Hawke will prevent his death and..
I heard Hawke will also provide some side-quest where you can recruit his surviving companions to join the inquisition as NPCs if Inquisitor saves him/her from execution but this part is unconfirmed currently so don't take it seriously.
Also, Varric will be affected by this choice if he is friend with Hawke in World Data since....
