I'm just tired of all the character bashing related to Hawke. He's a nice character, specially if you play him as a diplomatic and sarcastic character that cares for all his companions and his family.
I had more fun playing as sarcastic evil a@@hole that takes nothing seriously but is evil as hell(that Hawke is my most favorite Hawke) ![]()
It's just boring playing "goodie-shoes"...hero that is there to save a day and save everyone with asking nothing in return...it's just too common...to classic...you are good and nice and everyone is just taking advantage of you...it's kind of nice being "devil" for change...you have more fun with just being an a@@ and evil Hawke is most fun Hawke to play with I must admit xD

Are you for real? You can choose to save Hawke or let him/her die and save Stroud or Warden Alistair instead (assuming he take Stroud's place). Good grief you are not forced to kill Hawke here.
If I save Hawke I will lose Stroud/Alistair/Loghain? If this is true, its is beyond ridiculous.

Man the Hawke haters are going to have a field day with this. Expect topics like "I'm glad Hawke died like scum" and "I enjoyed killing Hawke". I'm not looking forward to that. Also, the theme kind of confirms Hawke can die since it is too sad to have anything else to do with Hawke. I'm never killing Hawke and don't look forward to seeing the death on youtube.
It wouldn't bother me, I always have custom Hawkes. If they're killing anyone it will be their own custom that I don't care about or the default that I also don't care about.
You can't see it but there is a smile on my face.
There is a smile on your avatar's face though!

I liked both male and female Hawks from DA2. Executing Hawk won't happen in my game, if I can help it.
It's puzzling if Bioware gave the Inquisitor a choice to execute or let Hawk live. The writers will have only
one choice, when writing the Canon Lore, which may be contrary to the one you selected... think Alistair... made king in the Canon but some had him killed.

It's not necessarily the "canon" for the games themselves, it's just what Bioware themselves consider canon for the stories. What choices you make are canon in your own right, there is no official canon.

The thing I like about witty Hawke was that it was obvious that it was partially a coping mechanism. Sure, that type of Hawke is someone who is naturally sarcastic and witty. But it was also clear that sometimes it was just how Hawke dealt with stress and bad situations. After Hawke's mother dies in the conversation with Aveline makes that clear ("I am smiling, that should be enough for most people"). Witty Hawke wasn't just an ass, they were an ass who used humor to deflect and distract themselves from things that are making them very uncomfortable. When you think of it that way, witty Hawke might just be the most deep of all of the Hawke personalities.
This is why I relate to humorous Hawke the most, even more so than Alistair.

Especially about Alistair. I didn't let him stay with the Wardens in that worldstate so he could die two games later!

Wait where is this Hawke or [Insert Grey Warden] choice coming from? It makes no sense. Why would Hawke have anything to do with the other?

I'm somewhat confused myself, the only thing I could think of is that both are captured in separate locations and you have to choose which one to save.

Are you telling me that they are going to import my Hawke's appearance into DA:I? Otherwise it would just be some other guy/gal whose name is Hawke to me.
As for my Warden, he died like a man and did not hide under Morrigan's skirt fighting the Archdemon so I wont have to choose "Save Warden or Hawke" ![]()

This song did nothing for me. =\ ... I guess reading all the posts about how sad it is before I listened myself ruined the effect?
Well the first Hawke I am going to import is a POS (not one I have ever even played as in DA2, just totally created within the Keep) so I am not likely to spare him from execution, and Varric should not oppose it too much since this they are not slated to be friends.

Mostly speculation from this scene:
