I see no reason to kill Hawke in DAI, even if you hate him/her. The Inquisitor should be focus on the crisis at hand and making sure they have enough resources and manpower to deal with the threat.

More so when Hawke has FACED Cory in the past and has been investigating him, killing her is just letting your emotions take over and that is the first sign of being a horrible leader. Deal with Hawkes "crimes" after, not before.

You will be able to edit hawke in DA:I so they are in and you choose how they look

As long as they dont make me choose which Hawke to save... If I have to choose between Hawke and Bethnay Hawke... I would most definitely let Hawke die.

Well, since I don't really care about Stroud, I never liked Loghain and I never kept Alistair in the Wardens, even if it's a choice between saving one of them and saving Hawke, I'd still save Hawke. If it will be a choice between Hawke and his Warden sibling, that'll be a little trickier :/ Varric leaving or not may be the only thing that decides it for me

the Hero of Ferelden seeing as how apparently the masked figure only appears if the Warden is alive and they happen to be the same race and gender as the Warden. Man I hope that's true.

Apparently yes since there was a video where Varric is sad that Stroud died while Hawke managed to survive. This implies that there is a choice between saving Hawke or saving Stroud/Alistair/Loghain. I don't know if there is a choice or not or if you have to do something to save both but if I have to chose between Hawke and a warden, I'm going with Hawke everytime. Sorry Loghain, but you're taking one for the team

I have one Hawke (a mage) that I really like and (quite obviously) she is full of snark. In fact hers is the only PT I finished. Trying to finish another Hawke (a rogue) right now and would be interesting if she had a tragic ending especially since she is so diplomatic. Dunno yet.

quest line, I can see where this might leave the Inquisitor in a bit of a pickle regarding who to save.

Honestly, since Alistair is king and Loghain is dead, all I have is Riordan part deux, and I just cannot fathom a reason why I would save him over Hawke, so whatever I guess. I'm glad Varric mentions Hawke's sibling in all this though. It makes me happy that these characters aren't just disappearing into the virtual ether.

 

I suspect though that somehow Stroud's fate is inextricably tied to Corypheus though. Like, in order to finally defeat it, he simply has to die in some fashion. I'm hoping that this is the case.

If Hawke was to be completely customizable, my Hawke would find herself sleeping with a good chunk of the Inquisition's inner circle by the time things were done.

Aber eigentlich sieht es bei mir derzeit danach aus, als wenn Hawke nicht mehr sterben wird.
Ich war an einer Stelle, wo ich mich entscheiden musste, ob ich Hawke oder Strout opfere.
Ich habe mich für Strout entschieden.
Hawke hat sich danach auf den Weg nach Weißhaupt gemacht und taucht demnach vermutlich nicht mehr auf.“

 

Translation:

If this really is supposed to always happen I haven’t gotten that far yet.

But actually in my game it looks as though Hawke won’t die anymore.

I was at this one point where I had to decide whether I wanted to sacrifice Hawke or Strout.

I decided on Strout.

Hawke then left for Weißhaupt and doesn’t seem to appear again afterwards.

Yep. I have no problem with that. I've never done a kill all playthrough for DAO, but I have with DA2

Err, what would Hawke want in Weisshaupt? He's not a Warden, I don't get all this GW business regarding Hawke, wouldn't it make much more sense with the Hero of Ferelden?
