Yeah, Alistair is king in most of my saves.

I won't have trouble choosing Hawke as opposed to Stroud and Loghain, I simply don't care for Stroud and even though Loghain is one of my favorite character's, he has played his role in the world so I will cry a happy thought when he dies as a thanks for being a part of it all.

In my game Loghain is dead...I let Alistair kill that man without Honor. Alistair is a king, and Carver is a Templar. However I don't care...Hawke is my favorite character...I will Always choose him...even over the Warden.

Same , however seeing that there were people willing to let Meredith kill bethany or shooting Mordin in the back lol I'm pretty sure well see our fair share of dead Hawkes.

Actually, yes. The only way that both Alistair and Loghain can be in dai is if Alistair becomes a drunk or A harden jerk.

As it stands Loghain is a better character than Hawke (opinion). But will Loghain dying instead of Hawke make for a better story? If it's ceremoniously heroic then I can dig it.

 

As a half NPC, Hawke's personality (for now) Is really just what you make of him/her.

It's based on the assumption that Stroud is a "placeholder" Warden, and will only appear if Alistair or Loghain aren't Wardens.  So, going off that, the choice would be Hawke vs. Stroud/Alistair/Loghain depending on your choices in DA: O.  I don't know if it's true or not.  I'm kind of hoping that it isn't, since that would mean I have to choose between Hawke or Alistair (my Warden's LI), which would be a pretty tough choice

Lol, I know.  I'm tempted, but I really liked the romantic idea of my Warden and Alistair adventuring together as Grey Wardens  .  Making him King just messes that all up in my headcanon lol.  I'll think it over

Yeah, I'd hope so too.  My first import Hawke romanced/supported/spared/ran off with Anders.  I'm pretty curious to see how that will reflect in DA: I.

I don't think these "Hawke or Stroud/Alistair/Loghain" rumors are true. If only because I listened to a stream where Varric eulogized Stroud and made special mention of "not being the first Warden to fall to Corepheyes" and the Inquisitor saying "at least Hawke made it out". Given that the same stream has Viv gushing over you physically entering the Fade I think a more likely scenario is Hawke and the warden coming with you for this, fighting the huge spider-thing we see in the trailers, and the warden sacrificing himself.
