but im excited for DA:I for a different reason.. it actually looks good. my only concern is going to be how it ends. if it ends like the DA games.. it will be one of the best of the year. if it ends like ME3.. well, lets just hope that doesnt happen lol..

The last time I road aboard the hype train for a game was KOTOR: TSL I believe then Fable 2 -- oh and Dragon's Dogma...it was good, damn good.
Skyrim was the last time I was anywhere close to my level of hype for Inquisition. Before that... oh, maybe Half-Life 2.
Left 4 Dead 2, Dead Island (huge let down)
Not sure if I was quite this excited for Europa Universalis IV, but if not, then definitely Mass Effect 3.
Hmm, Probably pokemon X and Y 
I was pretty excited for ME:2 and 3, but I think DA:I kinda surpasses even that for me

Probably Dragon Age 2 or the original Mass Effect (ps3 slave race). I'm not at Mass Effect 3 levels of hype because after that debacle I rarely get hyped for anything video game related any more.
I feel you...oddly for me i have over 200 hours on ME3 because i replayed in so many ways with different classes...but it was never amazing to me, just had tons of replayability especially with the dlc. Dragon age inquisiition is one of the very first games where i think i will literally cherish eveyr moment...im already dying to sit on that collectors edition throne and dole out some justice.

Many games I have been excited for. All the Assassins Creed games, DA2, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Skyrim etc.
But this? This is the first game where I have spent months on end searching for any tidbit of information I could find, and conversing with fellow lovers of the series on a forum. It is 3:28am where I am and I cant sleep because I am so excited for Tuesday. This is literally the first time in my life where I have craved the end of the weekend lol.
Destiny.....but we know how that turned out...
Skyrim and Dark Souls II would be the last games I can recall being this hyped about.
I'd say Mortal Kombat X rivals my hype levels for DAI. Cannot wait!
I have never been exicted like this. I am serious, belive it or not my first RPG was DA:O before I played only MMOs and after I have finished DA:O I went back to the MMOs and I didint know about DA2, then I knew about it what?> 3months after realeaase or more I think, then DAI I remember when I found about DA:I when I have searched the old forums for explanation why my Hawke cant be an Elf.. Found about a post about the Dales in the rumour DA3 lol since then I was excited about DAI
ME3, but that excitement was very misplaced, I have faith that DAI will not disappointing
PSO, mass effect and DAO!!!
i still remember the day i bought and played all three. PSO not as much, but i remember being spazzed for ME1, waiting and tyring to get it everywhere early because there was a big street date break and it just made the wait worse!!!
for DAO i had been waiting for it since biowares last great RPG i enjoyed and that was baldur's gate and neverwinter nights, somewhat. but i remember reading about DAO back on the bio forums like 10 years ago!!! and how they would unveil one bit of info at a time, and i remember when they announced that the game would be called "Origins"!!! omg, the wait for DAO was horrid because they announced it WAAAAY early.
but i still remember DAO launch, it was a cold november like it is now and they werent doing a midnight launch for it and i live like right down a nice quick back road from my gamestop thats at a mall. i barely slept the night before, like it will be for me again, and i woke up at like 9:30am, the store opened at 10am and it usually takes me like 2 hours just to get my satchel in the right position, let alone function in broad daylight....
but i bounced out of bed and was a LONE MAN!!!! picking it up at 10:10am!!! i came home, toasty in my house, installed, put all my pre-order and DLC goody codes in and ****** loved it and lost my mind!!! i played all day non stop, until 7am the next day!!!!
sorry man, i'm still giddy over the memories of DAO. it quickly bounced PSO as my all time fave and shot straight to one, like i'm sure DAI qill do!!!
my list is mostly bioware games because they make the exact games i want to play!!!
it all started reading about baldur's gate in a pc mag in 1997-98 at a friends house who played diablo and starcraft etc... and i saw this article and had been a big D&D nerd growing up and told him righ there and then bioware was to be my fave developer and i would buy my 1st PC to play this game!!!! and did and thats my story.... a lone boring off topic story that i commend YOU, yeah YOU for reading it, everyone else just skipped right by, but no, you're my friend and you stuck by me till the very end!!!!

I was scared there wasn't going to be anyone in here mentioning Dragon Age: Origins, the one that started it all. It feels so long ago but I remember how hyped I was about DA:O and how excited I was to finally be able to play it. It was totally worth the wait.
I was also pretty excited about Mass Effect but it wasn't really a genre I was interested at the time but I did keep a close eye on it in whatever gaming magazines it was featured in. It was pretty awesome to play it though since it was my first space opera RPG.
Hmmm...Probably Divinity: Original Sin.

Skyrim. This is the first game I've been emotionally invested in when I've pre-ordered. I've only every pre-ordered one other game and that was Dead Island Riptide...
