Meh, you lot got screwed over. And thanks to the anti tampering on the executable there's no other way you can get it besides importing it.

Thanks to the anti-tamper they can't pirate the game.

The reason it's not available in india is due to the Homosexual content

Thats easy enough. Just use a VPN if they want the DDE or go to a website like GreenMan Gaming if they want the standard edition cheaper.

It's very simple. Just a lot of overreacting from people who need to learn how to calm down.

You know what? Take the refund, make a paypal account, install VPN, login as US, Mexican or Eu Origin store and buy the game. Bioware deserves your money for their effort and you deserve the game regardless of your citizenship. I am tired of this f*cking country I live in and I am ashamed of the fact I was born here. F*ck these morons and their laws. Play outside the book! It is beyond immature - how these lawmakers are stuck in "indian" traditionalist mentalities in the 20th century and the real way to discredit them is to just ignore them completely. There's no law forbidding us from buying the game from another country.

And if you don't wanna do the whole VPN thingy, then just buy the game from sites like CDkeys, Kinguin, GreenManGaming, Amazon(UK)

Could you lay it out more clearly, please? Note that I can't use a Paypal account. Since my credit card address is for my country, will EA accept payment from that if I use a VPN?

There was an article regarding PC game releases for EA in India and that we cannot buy the physical copy any more. There has been a price hike to bring the price closes to US

On asking a few retailers, they said that the PC version went digital and a physical copy is doubtful but you might get it for XBox and PS. They have asked us to check back after 21st which is the release date. EA's retailer in India Game4u is showing the price as 4399 and is allowing you to preorder as a digital download. It was the same for FIFA 15 too. The PC version was a digital download whereas the others were physical copies.

So in that case, I'm guessing its a distributor issue and not a government issue.

So what's all this nonsense of "banned because of Homosexuality" then?
PC version is still absent from Origin store though and I doubt this was a government order because otherwise Sony and Microsoft wouldn't be selling this game on their stores either. It feels like EA jumped to a conclusion and then did the bare minimum to address it.

If an issue is raised (it won't) they'll point fingers towards Sony and Microsoft then?
Plus, PSN India is actually the Europe store with prices set to "Rupees" so they technically can't remove it from there.

Probably. Do you want the Digital Deluxe Edition or just the standard edition?

No VPN.. I did buy a code from a UK site which is reliable.. Paid 200 rupees ( 4 dollars ) slightly more for the standard edition that that was available on origin

Buying a code is fine, but how do you download the game when it is not available in India? Does it get added to your games list on Origin after you redeem it? I believe only then can you download the game.

I know that the writers put a lot into the game to make the characters the best part of their game, to be brutally honest romances were a neat idea.. but i would like to play the game without the romance options.

Yes, you enter the code either in the Origin launcher (Redeem Product Code option in the menu) or on Origin website (My Account->Redeem Product Code) and it gets added to your library.

The Digital Deluxe Edition is the one I had pre-ordered. Right now, I'm thinking of buying a CD key from G2A.com, then using a VPN to redeem it on Origin. I want to wait until release date before doing anything though, just to make sure I don't waste my money.

I don't believe you need to mess with the VPN just to redeem the code -- I was able to redeem the UK version of DAI in my launcher without anything like that even though I can't buy that version through Origin itself.

Any trusted game key sites offering the digital deluxe key? I can only see the standard edition. And would buying a key from another region and redeem it on the Indian origin site work?

If it that is what it takes to get an indian release.. i am ok.. romance aside what bioware writes is the best compared to most rpgs.
