So here I was watching few new videos for little spoilers and i find video about recruiting IB...in there he says he has "weakness for redheads".
This made me wonder if game will recognize you as redhead(if you chose ginger or red hair option...which I doubt that game will recognize but still...)still it would be good if it did because I wonder what would IB say for your redhead Inquisitor

It's very beautiful hair color...still as game usually don't recognize you as blonde,ginger or you having any other hair color.Still it would be cool if they made it in DAI for game to recognize you as just redhead especially because of this

This is actually something that bugged me about the game, particularly if your character has siblings. especially annoying in DA2, when your family members skin tones could change but not your hair color. I imagine one could do something similar to the skin tone/hair style for the hair color.
Which is why I loved the Ivey's hawke's family mod. Bethany was able to have a lovely set of red hair just like her sister. this might be something I hope for if she accompanies hawke, because I want them both to be redheads

Just because you have red hair, sais nothing about what your siblings or even parents will have. Both my mom and dad have black hair. I have to go back like two generations to find another red head in my immediate lineage. The I have red hair so should someone else in my immediate family thing is silly and has no basis in fact.

Just wanted to elaborate on what Puppy Love said. The gene for being a redhead is receive, so it can be carried down through the family indefinitely without expressing itself until you have kids with someone who also has that gene, and you both happen to pass the redhead gene, instead of either of you passing on something else. This is somewhat of an oversimplification, but you get the point.
Recessive genes pair up and make a dominant. It's still a funny joke, and the milkman needs love too.

I understand that this is the case. That said, I do like it in da2 when bethany/carver has the same hair color as hawke. Sure maybe not realistic, but i like it that way. It also goes for any other hair color not just red. You can't for instance see a bethany with blonde or light brown hair always the black hair.

Is is an oversimplification as Redhair is not exactly a pure recessive gene. You get different red hair colors by combining red with different colors for example depending on how the genes pair. Genes are much more complex the the dominant/recessive thing people over simplify it to.

My brother has the same situation. I think the last in our family to have red hair was a great-grandmother or something. Two parents with brown hair and a blonde brother(Me).
