No offense, but this isn't really surprising considering the details. Attempting to sell a game spearheading the LGBT gaming agenda in a country with a homophobic culture. That Russian (Goha?) interview with Cameron Lee was especially amusing.

Another story described a male dog and a female, both strays who were together. She died but he refused to leave her for weeks, not even to eat, and any time someone got close to her he would get very aggressive, protecting his girl, even to the end.
Which means, his intelligence equated to 0. Nothing more than that. IMO of course.

I'm from India. I've been waiting for this game for over 2 years. Now they tell me this. I'm really devastated. Our government is still stuck in the middle ages. I'm ashamed to call myself an Indian. Really ashamed.

I admit I'm extremely disgusted by this well.
I guess I should have expected nothing else from our government. I won't blame myself by being ashamed though as I don't take responsibility for the backward thinking lawmakers supported by similarly backward thinking public.

Please don't. As people shouldn't generalize, you shouldn't either associate with the mass either.
As for the game, I'm sorry to say this, but pirate the **** out of it. Not like EA is losing revenue over an item that isn't for sale, anyway. Hell, maybe they'll divert some of their income on addressing this abomination, what do I know ...
Or, break another agreement and buy it from somewhere else. At least, you won't be gypping Bioware for it.

I struggle to see how a game that simply gives (more or less) equal choices to play and gives equal access to mature content is 'spearheading the LGBT agenda', as it is simply allowing choices.
I hope there is a way for Indian games to access the physical copies (or by import).

someone on the DA Reddit said they contacted customer care and they told them it's being blocked from being sold in India because of the "homosexual content"
i'm not sure if it's true or not, but it's entirely messed up if it is, and as a gay person myself, it disgusts me.
The people of surveillance have a problem with Dorian, yeah?
They will regret it double much when they taste his Tevinter justice in fireball flavors

Spearheading the LGBT gaming agenda?
It has gay people in it. So does reality. It's not fair to hide them just because there are homophobes with more power than sense in the world.

I am very disappointed with the current state of affairs regarding how the Indian Government deals with these issues. And many in this thread are missing the bigger picture. Yes, you can pirate the game, use VPN to purchase it or get a physical copy from another region etc. to play. But the issue is not about playing this game. If this kind of behaviour is left as it is, the upcoming titles will also face the same fate. Imagine The Witcher 3, Mass Effect 4, GTA:V etc etc getting cancelled just because they have homosexual themes. Moronic yesteryear freaks and their conservative s*it.

a lot of people think that us being allowed to breathe is pushing the gay agenda on poor helpless people just to corrupt the children, because we're all depraved predators.

I don't think it's that exactly. But again I'm not in your position so I can't judge your actions.
However as an outsider looking in those normally on the outside of the LGBT community get attacked by LGBT for being "intolerant, bigot, hate monger" etc....just for disagreeing with LGBT.
Hindsight is 20/20. To get people to accept you for you, you need to accept them for them. Both sides are at fault in this.

That's funny. I don't see homosexuals trying to ban stuff that has heterosexual content in it.

All recent BW games have such content, so what has changed? I bought all the other games in India.
The govern changed, or didn't you notice it, when you voted?
You have lost a game.
Companies have lost million $$ military commissions.
People have been jailed for almost 3 years straight, still without a proper indictment or a trial.
And this, my friend, is of public knowledge.
I'm actually amazed that Russia didn't do the same.

I think this has something to do with recent repealing of Article 377 in 2013. Remember ? They reinstated the law.

You are missing the point.
Straight anti-gay people are banning things with homosexual content
LGBT are protesting and in a sense "pushing" equality in things that don't have homosexual content.
No matter who is the aggressor or who is wrong/right both sides are pushing an "agenda", It's becoming more of a focus now that the new generation of "open-mindedness" is coming to the forefront where decisions are being made.
That is what this whole issue is about. Some straights can't accept gays, and some gays take offense at every disagreement and blow it up, both sides are at fault and the innocents on both sides are paying the price for it.

I agree that there is a bigger picture. But I guess it's not surprising to see that people in a BW forum will be more concerned about this game not being available.
All said and done, I'm happy that Bioware do not censor or exclude content from their games because of bigots or entire countries against such content. That is how it should be.
