If you want to play it on PC, there are ways to use the Mexican Origin-Store. The game is $45 there.

This would honestly be the best way to do it until India government lifts the ban. Unless of course their government is the kind to black-bag people who go against the law and keep "prohibited" items in their house. Then honestly a video game is not worth your life O.o

I've yet to see such a dog. From my experience dogs are much more prone to turning into mindless beasts than humans, if dogs can even think at all. Frankly I think with dogs it's really just all behavior and no real intelligence.

Anyways, only humans pass the Mordin test since only humans are capable of performing calculus.

Only humans are capable of using their self-awareness to inhumanely murder other humans.

I tried using the VPN, but it keeps saying:

"We're unable to process your payment right now. Use a different payment method or try again later. [ref. #10048]"

This is an awful news for fans from India. There are few VPN tricks you can use to get the game but not sure how is that going to work if your account is still considered to be an Indian account.

It's pretty baffling to me that India still has an arsinine regulation like this. I guess it's still very much a country of extremes in more ways than one.

Still, it's unworthy of an up-and-coming superpower.

Buy from a third party retailer and play that way, if needed, cracks will be there to stop Origin from checking.

That's funny. I don't see homosexuals trying to ban stuff that has heterosexual content in it.

That's because they're in the minority and it would cause more trouble than is worth it.

Well Origin priceses in India risen because of vpn usage so it might be the same reason... Though it's true that there is an anti-homosexsual regulation in India, which legislated by British Empire.

I don't think it's that exactly. But again I'm not in your position so I can't judge your actions.

However as an outsider looking in those normally on the outside of the LGBT community get attacked by LGBT for being "intolerant, bigot, hate monger" etc....just for disagreeing with LGBT.

Hindsight is 20/20. To get people to accept you for you, you need to accept them for them. Both sides are at fault in this.

No way.  I'm not going to sit back and take the blame in a situation like this.  This has nothing to do with gay rights.  A game developer adding in gay characters is no more "pushing an agenda" than they would be if they included Christian characters.  Or disabled characters.  It's about representation, not "an agenda".  If people can't stand that everyone should be treated fairly, then the issue on them.  Indian officials who decided against the game are the ones to blame for this.  Do not for a second point fingers at the LGBT community.

The game still shows up for Pre-Order on the Indian PSN store though, here's hoping.

I think this decision was made purely by EA.
Perhaps the higher ups at EA India thought the game might cause controversy.
We don't know whether it was a court order or not.

I agree that there is a bigger picture. But I guess it's not surprising to see that people in a BW forum will be more concerned about this game not being available.

All said and done, I'm happy that Bioware do not censor or exclude content from their games because of bigots or entire countries against such content. That is how it should be.

Yeah thank god developers are not modifying their art/work to satisfy a community/clan/group. I hope it remains so in the future too.

And guys, if you take a closer look, India has not officially banned the game or cancelled it. EA on the other hand cancelled it because "there was a breach of content laws", which by the way is a very vague statement to provide to the fans and those who bought the game. They did not give any clarification as to what those laws are and why they did so. As of now, we cannot, with 100% clarity, point a finger at either EA or the Indian Govt.

But one of friend did call the customer care and they said the reason was "presence of homosexual themes". So that kind of confirms that Govt. intolerance towards homosexuality might be the actual reason.

See that's exactly what I was talking about, I said "Some" people on both sides do this and the "innocents" on both sides suffer for it. And "You" get angry at me(at least that is how it comes off) and say I'm pointing my finger at the "Entire" community, which I wasn't.

I was simply stating that the problem lies with both vocal "anti" groups. Both need to accept each other and learn to live and deal together, otherwise neither side will EVER agree on anything.

What, no one seen this coming? DAI isn't banned in Russia btw.

Is actually surprising to me that Russia hasn't banned the game like India considering they pretty much treat LGBT people as enemies of the state & really says something crappy about India's government when they ban a game for its "gay agenda content" :?

I'm honestly not surprised about this, but then again half the things I see in the news about India have me shaking my head and wondering what the **** is going in their government.

And the worst part is it's not even 'gay agenda' as some people make out DAI to be. It includes equal representation for all, that's hardly what I'd call an 'agenda'. But then this is the Indian government we're talking about...this kinda thing shouldn't surprise me anymore.

Sorry but that's no government - that's a group of thugs (yes, someone who is medieval in thinking - even if he or she is the leader of a country - is a thug, no matter how educated that person may be!)

I am really sad for the Indian players - hope they can get around that ban :)

Hell, that's almost as bad as what the Chinese Government (another group of backwards-thinking thugs with nuclear weapons BTW) is doing, by monitoring the web and blocking of content -.- (even if EA pulled it before they could actually ban it - It's even worse as EA bows to the demands of those thugs and that's something I will never support -.-)

greetings LAX

Like here in america, some kid shoots up his school and they blame music, movies, books and games completely ignoring the abusive parents, bullies, depression etc...

I personally believe Religion should stay out of State affairs, and Government needs to stay out of Personal lives and business. A government should be in place to protect and provide safety for the entire population, not enact laws that are against if someone swings for the other team or not.

Using a VPN to buy cheaper is against EA's Terms of Service. Posting information about this in an official EA/Bioware forum isn't a good idea.

What I'm worrying about this method is that even if you purchase DA:I through Mexican origin your account will still be considered as account that was created from India. So I'm sure getting game from there won't be an issue, but what comes after that? Does game stay in your library? Or is it going to disappear? I really hope this works for some of you guys but do be careful for this trick is not legally allowed.

What if it is the same price? Like the Indian price for DAI was the same as the price in US, so would I be breaking the TOS if I buy it via VPN from US?
