Ok thanks. This is all reassuring, though I'll likely still wait till release date to buy it.

See that's exactly what I was talking about, I said "Some" people on both sides do this and the "innocents" on both sides suffer for it. And "You" get angry at me(at least that is how it comes off) and say I'm pointing my finger at the "Entire" community, which I wasn't.
I was simply stating that the problem lies with both vocal "anti" groups. Both need to accept each other and learn to live and deal together, otherwise neither side will EVER agree on anything.
Yeah, let's be friends with the ***** and assholes who want to take away our basic human rights while constantly telling us that we should not exist simply for who we are, and even want to throw us in jail in some countries - or worse. Sounds like a marvelous plan.
The problem is not on both sides, for the excellent reason that the LGBTQ people want the same basic human rights like everybody else without taking away rights from other people, while anti gay groups do and what is even more disgusting is that some of them victimize themselves with stupid arguments like "The gays are taking MY rights by wanting to be treated equally!!!" And I have never heard of an "anti straight" group. I've never heard of LGBTQ people protesting against straight people or any other **** like that. The problem is not with the LGBTQ community.
I feel sorry for the Indian fans. This is just ridiculous. Censorship and telling people what they can and cannot buy is ridiculous.
I don't know how things work on PC or Xbox Live, but If you are on PS3/PS4, you can simply make a US or UK account and get a digital copy from there.

I do have a PS3 but I really don't want to buy it on that. And I haven't been planning to grab a PS4 anytime soon especially since I'm in middle of doing a major upgrade for my PC. People are saying grabbing a copy from US or importing it will work, so I'll likely go that route.

good thing i live in singapore , a friend of mine from india asked his uncle in the united states to buy it from origin , he also got the same email, but the game wont be removed because he got the cd key for it .
As for multiplayer there wont be any issue , since the player hosts the server like mass effect 3.
SO chill out

Yeah, I can understand that. I wouldn't buy it on a last-gen system either. Importing should work just fine, hopefully.

So for multiplayer I don't have to use VPN or anything? I assumed I'd have to suffer the lag and use a VPN to play MP. This seems like good news.

listen when u buy the game from outside india via paypal simple use vpn to unlock on that region date not indian.
once u unlock with vpn it stays unlocked for good , do not wait for indian release date 21st , i dont think there will be one yet for sometime.
As for future updates , simply use vpn and download them whenever they come out.
Ask ur friends relatives to purchase outside the country or use other ways to get past it.

Serious suggestion: import.
The next gen consoles aren't region locked, so as long as it's got English dialogue (which you must understand if you're using this forum) then you're good to go. Seriously, it's not over for you in regards to DA. You just got to buy from out-of-country.

I'm well aware of the law changes. I meant why are those previous games still available while DAI has been pulled.
Because it is new and it is pre-release

There was an article regarding PC game releases for EA in India and that we cannot buy the physical copy any more. There has been a price hike to bring the price closes to US
On asking a few retailers, they said that the PC version went digital and a physical copy is doubtful but you might get it for XBox and PS. They have asked us to check back after 21st which is the release date. EA's retailer in India Game4u is showing the price as 4399 and is allowing you to preorder as a digital download. It was the same for FIFA 15 too. The PC version was a digital download whereas the others were physical copies.
So in that case, I'm guessing its a distributor issue and not a government issue
THe game is available on XBox and Playstation store

If it is not a government issue why would EA cite 'content issues' as the reason? EA CS have also said it is because of the homosexual content though that info has not been released officially on their site.

They are cautious. They don't want to cause a public outcry and invite legal or legislative action by your government.

No I mean why say it's content issue if it's a distribution issue. By saying this they've already heavily implied it's an issue with the government.

I don't think it's that exactly. But again I'm not in your position so I can't judge your actions.
However as an outsider looking in those normally on the outside of the LGBT community get attacked by LGBT for being "intolerant, bigot, hate monger" etc....just for disagreeing with LGBT.
Hindsight is 20/20. To get people to accept you for you, you need to accept them for them. Both sides are at fault in this.
Dominant culture always screams discrimination when their views are challenged its called internalized privilege. those normally on the outside of the LGBT community are not attacked as hatemongers, being bigoted or intolerant unless they are. Your right to disagree ends when it affords you privileges the LGBT community cannot or does not enjoy, when you *disagree* with that it IS intolerant, bigoted and hate mongering. ***BTW that is the general you and not a personal you directed at the specific poster above, its just I have heard the same rhetoric from Christians here in the US as they whine about being attacked when in actuality they are either being challenged or they were the ones doing the attacking but are too full of their own privilege to see their biases in action. Fighting for equality of rights and privileges the dominant culture enjoys is not an attack on the dominant culture but rather an attack on injustice and a desire for equity in all things.

There is no distribution issue if it was download only in the first place. They might pull the console versions in the coming days.
Just wait a few days and see what happens. You can always buy from another country.

Because those stores haven't likely updated their websites yet. If its getting pulled... it will be pulled from those sites as well. They just aren't yet up to speed.

Well, anti-gays laws would mean the earlier dragon age and mass effect games need to be pulled down too right? Why have they not been pulled down in that case?

I don't know about Xbox but Sony uses the EU store as basis for India with currency changed to local. So what gets released there gets released here as well. Pretty much everything from sales, releases etc on PSN in India is based on the EU version. So in that sense there's no 'proper' Indian PSN store. It still might get pulled from the console stores, we will see.

Posté 15 novembre 2014 - 03:15
More than likely someone saw the content in the game and filed the Indian version of a 'cease and desist' letter to EA based on the laws there in India. EA will probably challenge it in court, but that takes time and with the release date in a few days, the only recourse was to stop distribution to India for the time being.

Yeah i had the same doubt. Why would EA cite it as "content issue" if it is a distribution issue ?
