There is no such option, I want Leliana and the warden to be friends, but there is no such option. SPOILER BEWARE! Even if you save the urn Leliana can still  be a rival, and can still be "Alive and Well"

Well, there's no option either for her to go on a bad path, or following the chantry even further.
It doesn't go that deep into details, therefore you should just accept that Leliana alive and well is already fine if you didn't romance her.

No matter what the game says at the end of DA:O, no matter what you did or didn't do, Leliana will pursue her "career" with the Chantry and will become the Hand of the Divine in 9:34 together with Cassandra, when her friend gets to take the seat as Justinia V. And she will consider Warden a friend unless he/she tried to kill her or poisoned the Ashes (or at least, that would be the most logical conclusion).

The option of her being Warden's "rival" while you're basically treating her "well" isn't represented in the Keep and never will be. If for no other reason then just 'cause it's too late now, to implement something like this.

Also, let's face it, the Friend/Rival status in DA:O is meaningless as anyone can be turned in one or the other with just a bunch of gifts, which is kinda stupid (whereas in DA2, you can't really do that).

The approval system in Origins wasn't even the same as in DA:2. Rival isn't the same as Dislike.

There was no friend/rival system in dao. There was approval and disapproval.

That's not the main point of the argument. You both know very well what I mean, so let's not play with words here, shall we?

I think the OPs point was that Leliana could still hate the warden without him defiling the ashes. So it would be strange for her to act like he was her best friend if they actually hated each other.

It's not playing with words when they track two different thing and the relationships operate differently.

Origins tracks more if they like you or not. Dragon Age 2 tracks more if you see eye to eye on things. Having someone at Rival doesn't meant they dislike Hawke, as I saw it. Origins had the squadmembers speak to you differently depending on the relationship level. Does DA:2 have that?
