Honestly haven't decided between Sera, Josie or Cassandra. I've narrowed it down to mage, now it just comes down to if I can create a decent looking female or not. Males are easy for me, bald head + beard, it's easy. Females take more, just gotta find a good hair quick and go from there. I don't plan on spending more than 2 minutes in the CC since I honestly don't have time for that. Pick up the game at Midnight, install it, go to bed, school in the morning, than 2 hours or so before work starts, maybe I can get in some CC time after my shower.

I just did a quick read through this thread and tallied up the responses, just to see what people said. I'm not surprised to see that Cass is the most popular female LI, as well as the most popular LI overall. She's the "main character" type (like Morrigan, Miranda, etc). She has over three times the amount of "votes" as the least popular LI (Blackwall).
I'm a bit surprised to see that Solas is the most popular male. He's got more votes for "first playthrough" and more overall "I'll eventually romance him" votes than even Cullen.
It seems like Bull and Dorian are about equally popular with male PCs. Sera is more popular than Josie with female PCs.
Blackwall is really not popular. He was only mentioned by 7 posters (and only five of them said he'd be their first playthrough), which is less than every other LI's "first playthrough" numbers except for Dorian. I think they really misjudged his appeal. I know that he was really popular with m/m players prior to his reveal as straight. Seems not as many women are interested in him.

I'm leaning more towards Solas for my first character (female Dalish mage). He's the most appealing LI in terms of personality from the spoilers I've seen (I have no willpower when it comes to avoiding them), and I have feeling they will mesh well with how I plan to roleplay my Inquisitor ![]()

It's a toss up between Sera and Josephine for me. I'll see who appeals to me more when I meet them.

To be honest, I was perplexed at the reveal of him being the "main" f/m romance. Surely Cullen would have been more popular with female players from a marketing standpoint, being superficially like Alistair.
But on the other hand, BSN posters do not represent players at large. ![]()

I'll settle for IronBull, I'm stuck with him since I'm not too fond of Dorian.

For my first character, I'm leaning towards Cassandra, but I'm open to being won over by Josephine.

I'm going for Cassandra first, and then a female Qunari with Iron Bull next, Cullen third, Solas fourth, Josephine fifth, and Sera last.

I might do this or fly solo, cause same situation. The three guys I like are straight
(and my me-quisitor is a guy). But in future playthroughs I don't mind rolling a quizzy for Dorian, and I do have a mage planned for Bull.
Had there been no restrictions I think Blackwall would've been my first
(ooo sounds naughty hehe). Then Cullen, then Solas
Then if I'm not bored, Iron Bull
And probably never Dorian. (I'm sure he'll be an awesome friend.)

Darling, please. You wound me with your words. I would never attempt to insinuate generalizability from a tiny non-random sample. ![]()

I don't know who will end up appealing to my female elf. I'm hoping just to "go with the flow," at least initially.

That could be because the Solas fandom is very much alive right now, due to first impressions and heavy spoilers.I'm a bit surprised to see that Solas is the most popular male. He's got more votes for "first playthrough" and more overall "I'll eventually romance him" votes than even Cullen.
I just recently turned into a Solas fan myself. I never paid him much attention, but after seeing his introduction and first interaction scene I can safely say that he skyrocketed to the top. I don't even really know why.
It's partly because of spoiler reasons, partly because of his wonderful voice together with his awkward gentle nerdy talk. But I have no idea WHY these aspects made him an instant favourite of mine.
They just did.

First playthrough as male human rogue. Most likely Josephine. As for Cassandra, depends on how well my Inquisitor gets along with her(I don't really see it working out since he dislikes restriction and disapproves of the Chantry's actions prior to the mage rebellion; unless something like the rivalmance is in here it's not likely to happen).

I want to romance Cass, but I'm not sure how I like a dwarf romance with other races, but I did it in origins with morrigan because I adore her so I may be able to make it work again here.

I too am torn between Sera's psychotic delightful self, and Miss Scribbles.
My main concern is how much of a romance investment is potentially lost via Advisers? I know we heard that it's supposedly still lengthy and such, due to always being around them at the home base and via story. Sounds well enough but what about the party banter lost? One of my favorite things about Origins/2 was hearing party members mention how cute myself and whomever I was romancing were as a couple, or how a bitter ex that was within my party was scowling more so than usual.
How can I enjoy dating the lovely Scribbles if I'm not hearing Varric constantly telling me how adorable she looks walking behind me with a faint hue of blush?
