Pia Trevelyan:
Part 1: The Basics
Spoiler
1. What is your full name?
Pia is good enough for you.
2. Where and when were you born?
A Trevelyan estate in Ostwick.
3. Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.)
They're titled nobles of Ostwick. I don't know them well enough anymore to know what they're like now - but I remember my mother as plainly a ****** at times and my father an *******.
[thinks on it more]
But maybe I'm too hard on them. I'm sure they're perfectly fine people in most cases - just I don't remember well as I wasn't a beneficiary of any kindness they showed. Not really in the end.
4.Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
I have brothers and sisters - all older than me. What I said about my parents is true about them as well.
5. Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.
I live in a castle on a cloud - Skyhold. Its high up in the air as its name suggests and sits in the densest fog of the Frostbacks.
6.What is your occupation?
Resolutionist. Inquisitor. Executioner.
7. Write a full physical description of yourself. You might want to consider factors such as: height, weight, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks.
Not very tall but not short enough to be adorable for it. That I'm more than skin and bones after the past two years is surely incredible. Also, I have Nevarran roots and I look it.
8. To which social class do you belong?
The oppressed at least. Other than that - are we mages even actual citizens of countries after we enter a circle? I don't care to look it up. Just mark me down for slave class.
9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?
Not that I'm aware.
10. Are you right- or left-handed?
Right.
11. What does your voice sound like?
I suppose the sound brings on a headache - everyone rubs at their temples when I speak for very long.
12. What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently?
Templars and mages and freedom are likely high in my word density.
13. What do you have in your pockets?
A lyrium potion and a combat knife.
14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?
I'd walk around Skyhold naked if I could. Take that for whatever you want.
Part 2: Growing Up
Spoiler
15. How would you describe your childhood in general?
Bullshit in retrospect.
16. What is your earliest memory?
Listening to grandmother sing a canticle of the chant as she held a fidgety three year old me.
17. How much schooling have you had?
Extensive circle training and some education in the classics.
18. Did you enjoy school?
That's like asking me did I enjoy prison from my perspective. They're one and the same. No.
19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
The circle at Ostwick.
20. While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.
My family. I was to model myself especially after those that submitted to the chantry as sisters and templars.
21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?
My relationships were quite functional and ordinary.
22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I don't know. I can't remember. I don't think its important now.
23. As a child, what were your favorite activities?
Hanging around the flower gardens and greenhouse on our estate.
24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?
I was Charming. Relaxed. And as my parents intended when they named me - pious.
25. As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like?
I had friends at court and cousins that liked me quite well. I don't know about popular though.
26. When and with whom was your first kiss?
Some boy at a fair. Don't remember his name.
27. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?
I'll likely die a virgin at this rate.
28. If you are a supernatural being (i.e. mage, werewolf, vampire), tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities. If you are just a normal human, describe any influences in your past that led you to do the things you do today.
I'm a mage. I came into my power at ten and others found out about it after I turned eleven. The discovery was nothing dramatic, really, but I let a wisp into my room. It got out and buzzed around the left wing for a bit. I hid in the greenhouse a few hours until found and questioned about it.
Part 3: Past Influences
Spoiler
29. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
The bombing that gave me the inquisitor's brand.
30. Who has had the most influence on you?
Right now? Maybe Solas? Or Dorian? No. Scratch that. I say, Grand Enchanter Fiona. And the mage Anders.
31. What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Escaping the circle.
32. What is your greatest regret?
Ever entering it.
33. What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
Today? Hanged someone by their own entrails. There's a promotion in it for the healer that keeps them alive for the next week.

I'm certain my circle file has something in it about 'troublemaker'.

When I was thrown in solitary.
36. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?
Bathing from a bucket under templar watch.
37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?
I wouldn't have swallowed the Chantry's garbage for so long.
38. What is your best memory?
My first chance at liquor - I was three sheets to the wind with my good buddy Drew well before midnight. Plastered but completely loose and happy.
39. What is your worst memory?
Its a tie between the annulment and my stay in solitary.

You couldn't guess by now?

That nothing will ever change no matter how hard I try to change it.
42. What are your religious views?
I have no religion now and I want to rip as many people as I can from the Chantry's grip.
43. What are your political views?
I wasn't in the circle long enough to join a frat. but I'd have been a Libertarian. A Resolutionist. I say let the war come. There is no retreat to the circles now but in submission and slavery. For me - its liberty or death.
44. What are your views on sex?
I've never had it but I suppose have as much as it as you can with whoever you want.
45. Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable?
I'm perhaps too eager to kill. And, really, I dislike executions. They are unacceptable but... at this time I'll still carry them out.
46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?
Well, there is something significantly wrong with a species that trades its children for acceptance from a silent, uncaring sky god. That's what circles are at least in part about, and I'd call it evil.
47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?
Ha. No.
48. What do you believe makes a successful life?
To live with fewer regrets than goals reached.
49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)?
I don't hide my anger. Everyone gets to see that whether they want to or not.
50. Do you have any biases or prejudices?
I have no allegiance to these monsters called human beings despite being one myself. I despise being one myself. I know what evil we truly are. My only real allegiance is to magic and mages.
51. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it?
I refuse to make anyone tranquil. You can guess why not.
52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)?
I would die for the revolution. Other than that, I die for myself and only myself.
Part 5: Relationships with Others
Spoiler
53. In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how?
I keep most everyone at arm's length and to do it, I'm rude. Just ask that templar Cullen. But I get along rather well with Dorian and Solas and most excellently with Cole.
54 Who is the most important person in your life, and why?
I think Drew is dead.
55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why?
Grand Enchanter Fiona. Just look at her history. But Anders too for his stand in Kirkwall. It takes more than guts to do what they've done.
56. Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people.
I don't think I really have friends so much as I have people I am significantly more willing to speak and listen to than others.
57. Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person.
No.
58. Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened.
No.
59. What do you look for in a potential lover?
I've never looked.

Not close at all. I rarely heard from them or saw them after I was taken away.
61. Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not?
No. And I don't want children. Its a cruelty to bring anyone into a world like this.
62. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help?
Cole. He'd know exactly what I'd want him to do. He's done it for others. He could do it for me.
63. Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why?
No.
64. If you died or went missing, who would miss you?
I suppose all of Thedas. They're screwed without me.
65. Who is the person you despise the most, and why?
Right now? Cullen. Its his presence here that keeps him at the top of my shitlist and not exactly anything he says or does. He's the freshest and most constant templar face in my head. He was the Knight-Captain at the center of Kirkwall's bullshit - so of course I hate him.
66. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict?
I argue a lot. In the past I wouldn't have but those days are a distant memory now.
67. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations?
I took a stand in Ostwick - not as a leader - but on my own. I just step into roles that I care about and that need filling - leadership role or not.
68. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not?
I like to talk in front of large groups. Sway them to my opinions. Other than that - you can have it.
69. Do you care what others think of you?
I want others to know how serious I am about what I believe in. Other than that - I don't care anymore. I'm the most important person in the world right now and what I think about them is far more relevant.

I liked to sing and play instruments once.
71. What is your most treasured possession?
A music box Drew gave me my last birthday.

I like a sweet, runny Butterkuchen with lots of vanilla icing on top.
74. What, if anything, do you like to read?
I really need to take up the classics again.
75. What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)?
A good fight. A good execution. I guess. Everyone always crowds around to watch those two things.
76. Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit?
I've taken up drink with greater vigor than ever before. Brandy is my weakness, yeah. And what's the point of quitting? The end of the world is nigh.
77. How do you spend a typical Saturday night?
There is nothing typical about my Saturday nights now.
78. What makes you laugh?
The strangest of things. Things bizarre and out of place. Things no one else finds particularly funny.
79. What, if anything, shocks or offends you?
Human beings shock and offend me daily in too many ways to account for right now.
80. What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself?
I'd sing to pass the time. Its what I used to do. Or wander the gardens or greenhouse.
81. How do you deal with stress?
Not very well. I just push on, come out the other end of a problem, look back on what just happened, and wonder how I ever got through it.
82. Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan?
Mostly spontaneous. I leave planning to my advisors and I don't always stick to what they say.
83. What are your pet peeves?
A lot of things set me off and I don't keep track of them anymore.
Part 7: Self Images and Etc.
Spoiler
84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted?
The only thing I'm guaranteed to do everyday is kill things. I don't know what I'd do to distract myself from everything else for a full day now if I couldn't do that.
85. What is your greatest strength as a person?
I love hard.
86. What is your greatest weakness?
I love hard.
87. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I'd be forgiving. I wouldn't be selfish either.
88. Are you generally introverted or extroverted?
I'm an inappropriate mix of both.
89. Are you generally organized or messy?
The circle stressed orderliness. But I have staff to clean up after my messes now. It really doesn't matter.
90. Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at.
Killing. Yelling. Sarcasm. I'm good at that. Mercy. Listening. Normal modes of conversation. I'm bad at those things.
91. Do you like yourself?
No. I'm too angry and a bit too hypocritical to like myself. I don't hate myself though.
92. What are your reasons for being an adventurer (or doing the strange and heroic things that RPG characters do)? Are your real reasons for doing this different than the ones you tell people in public? (If so, detail both sets of reasons...)
I took up the responsibility of inquisitor to do something good for mages like me. Everyone else is to think I did because Andraste wanted me to.
93. What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?
The circle's liberation from the Chantry. The end of the templar order. The dismantling of the Chantry.
94. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Dead. I don't know that I'll survive closing the breach. Or that the Chantry won't hunt me down if I've done so.
95. If you could choose, how would you want to die?
A martyr. My blood would water the revolution.
96. If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left.
Sing and write one last song for my burial. Tend my garden. Give a speech on kindness.
97. What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death?
That I fought for what was right even if I lost.
98. What three words best describe your personality?
Disillusioned. Angry. Hard.
99. What three words would others probably use to describe you?
Mage - and use it like an insult. Extremist. ******.
100. If you could, what advice would you, the player, give to your character? (You might even want to speak as if he or she were sitting right here in front of you, and use proper tone so he or she might heed your advice...)
If there's an opportunity to grieve and let go of enough of your anger - take it. You'll be a happier person for it.
