Everything but the hair looks pretty nice. The hair is just... horrific. It's giving me serious flashbacks to banter regarding Sebastian's armour, in fact. Forget mirrors and such, my good folk! Just ask a passersby to stand with their back to you for a bit so you can make sure your makeup's good and hair's still in order. :P

I might be able to run my pc on medium settings. But, I already have the 360 version preordered...

I'd suggest to go PC, though the shiny hairs are still there...don't know if better or worse. The quality of the beards are better though (but it's still bad).

Looks almost as good as the PC version.

Sarcasm :P?

In another youtube playthrough on a next gen console, there was a qunari mage with a bad looking beard as well. That being said, I think the hair looks like a bad photoshop job. I guess my Inquisitors will all be bald then.

I didn't hear the guy in the gameplay complain once. Of course people think it looks worse. You've been watching nextgen/pc gameplayvideos all the time, no wonder you think it looks nasty. I for one think it looks nice and so much better than I first thought it would!

The hair looks a little funky sometimes, but it's hard to do well. At least it's no DA:O, dear lord. I remember all of my friends raving about how great it looked, and I was sitting there staring at objects used in quests with out of place, low-res textures. I was rather upset that DA:O was released that way, I couldn't believe that level of inconsistency was found acceptable. Really, I still can't.

the guy in the gameplay just complained about dumb stuff like his archer, which he chose, not having any melee moves lmao

He actually said it looks pretty good for 360.

Did everyone else not notice how blocky the blood spatter was close up? I love the blood spatter in DA, this annoys me. I hope it's patched or better on the PS3 so that I could possibly get that version instead. Too much pop-in for small things like bushes too.

That loading time...

It takes too long to load up some surrounding objects. They suddenly pop up when the character approaches closer. That's gonna be an eyesore.

The loading times made me think that my computer had to buffer to continue.

Not To be pessimistic, but I doubt it'll be any different. Don't know about blood, but the pop up is on PC's low as well.

Seeing this footage makes me glad I spent the money to upgrade, I can see why there has no footage shown by Bioware of the 360 and PS3.

That said its probably playable, as long as you go with shaved head and no beard.  :P  Is it noticeable to anybody else that the game seems to stick for second every three seconds or so in the videos.

I didn't notice it sticked.
Actually, some hair colour looks better then others (beards are bad regardless though). Last gen aren't the only one with This problem though. Low and medium pc setting share it as well.

Maybe its just my computer, i'll try watching I on a tablet to see if I still see it.

I am glad I did not go with the new gen. The difference is not that big and the hair/beard is a problem easily fixed with a patch!

Are there any differences between PS3 and Xbox 360? I usually don't believe developers when they claim that they maxed out the potential of a console and I like my 360 way more than my PS3, but with the right tricks the PS3 is more powerful than 360. You just have to delegate some tasks of the GPU to the SPEs of the Cell CPU. Rewriting the code is the part where it gets tricky. Having a Blu-ray disc drive helps as well.

Pc on low/Medium setting has shiny hairs and beards, so ps3 will likely has them as well. The pop up is present on low setting as well, so if might be on ps3 too.

I tried it on a tablet and no sticking.

Honestly I would have been happy enough to play DAI on my 360 if I hadn't upgraded, as I was originally planning to do.

Obviously inferior graphics etc, but DAO's graphics weren't its strength and I loved the game anyway.

The Frostbite 3 engine scales pretty good, but DA:I still looks absolutely terrible on last generation consoles. The game lacks detail and the textures are hideous. I also noticed quite a few framedrops as well as a lot of tearing and popup too.

But that is to be expected from a lastgen console I guess.

Doesn't look bad to me. Sure beats the hell out of DA2, by miles.

Have you played the game on a old-gen console or that is just and opinon you got from a gameplayvideo that doesn't even show 1/4 on how the game looks for real?

I had my friend over today. (he is going to play on xbox360) and he wanted to use my tv. It looked gorgeous. (I did not want to watch the intro of the game but I watched some dialoge and combat) So what you are saying is not a fact.

Was the blood blocky on the 360 version you saw in first person?

I noticed immediately. I've always loved the blood spatter, even purposely used staffs with physical damage runes in DA2 just so that melee attacks with the staff would get made Hawke bloody. I pay a lot of attention to it.
