Self explanitory but I have seen many people say they will be playing older characters which means they'd be adults during the Blight.

So what has your Inquisitor been doing for the last 12 years?

I decided mine was the elf girl in Lothering who lost her lamb. Whwn Lothering fell her family died and she escaped, eventually being adopted by the Dalish clan. So she will probably be in her early 20s.

So what about everyone else? Did you think about what they have been doing?

I don't really do elaborate backstories, but based on my previous characters... The Pearl or the Blooming Rose, likely.

Slowly filling with resentment over having to live with the other elves still bitter over the fate of elves in Thedas.

There's only so many times and ways you can say "Damn those shems" before it gets old :)

Inquisitor was in her/his early teens when are powers manifested. Being the youngest of a noble family s/he wasn't expected to do much or inherit much. So as per tradition and to win favor with the chantry s/he was trained in preparation to be sent to templar training.

S/he kept the secret for a while until a burstmof emotion at the wrong place and time called forth a small fire from his her hands.

Saddened and embarrassed, the Trevalyans had to turn in their would-be-templar youmgest child. Noting the irony of it all.

Still, s/he was treated well in the circle due to knowing many of the new templar recruits and having family relatives as templar stationed there

At the Ostwick Mage circle.

Yup.  Just being scholarly.

Actually he probably would have been around 10 back then.  So...learning not to light things on fire accidentally.

Most of my backstory for Navilia occured during the blight and da2.  Of course she is also in her mid 20s, around 23 or 24. So lets see major events during this time. Most of her training to be a sister in the chantry happened during this time as well as her archery training occured around the time frame.  As well as the whole murder of her lover and handmaiden Siobhan that prompted her to want to join the chantry.

My mage was stuck in the Ostwick Circle, practicing magic while resenting the loss of his noble title, and dreaming of a way to be free.

My qunari warrior was probably kicking ass and taking names all around the Free Marches, and thinking about getting her horns covered in plate.

My elven mage wanted to train up her magic skills so she accepted all the mage guild quests and they wound up sending her all over the place where she kept running out of mana and getting killed so she started wearing armor and stealthing around and shooting things before they noticed her.  If they did notice her, she'd fire off a couple of firebolts until she was out of mana and then close with some orcish daggers.

So, basically she's a rogue now.  But she's gonna get back to that magic one of these days, probably after she finishes clearing up all these Markarth side quests . . .

YES MY ELVEN MAGE IS FROM SKYRIM.

I'm headcanoning her at 33 since it felt right for my qunari mage. About the right age to have gotten some leadership experience, proficient at magic (despite no circle training I'm assuming?)  and fighting.

I'm going to make an older Inquisitor too. Someone in her mid to late 30's who was young during the blight and lost her husband and kids maybe.... I don't know, but I'm psyched about my first character.
