I'm having problems syncing DA1/2 to my account. I had them registered and everything back in the day, but my profile doesn't register any of my characters or achievements.

I strongly suspect this is due to me having to change email addresses since I registered those two games (gmail changed from @googlemail.co.uk to @gmail.com). I updated my account to reflect my new address, but I never changed anything for my DA games. How would I go about changing the address those two are using so I can properly sync my games?

You can load up DA:O/2 and log in with your new e-mail and try to sync your games again. Load up a file, equip some weapons, play for 15 minutes and see if they upload.

Complicated!

My old DA:O and DA2 games are on XBox 360 too, and - like yours - attached to the wrong email address (also partly due to a gmail vs googlemail issue!). I spent several hours online with the XBL helpline to try to get to the bottom of this and it is possible, but there's a lot of messing around involved. I'll send you a PM (probably tomorrow) with what I've learned.

In the meantime, don't panic. Since the decisions made in your old games are not imported into the Keep or DA:I, it will not affect that game. You can go ahead and create your World State in the Tapestry ahead of launch without them!

Yikes, it really is a lot of hassle to go through to fix that. I think I'll just leave it as is, if there's no reason to sync stuff to the keep anyway.

Yeah, messing around with your XBox profiles is more trouble than it's worth, I'm finding!

There is something else you could try, though, based on a suggestion I've read for a slightly different problem.

1. Create a new Origin account, using the email address which your profile and existing game saves are linked to.

2. Add that new account as a "friend".

3. Share the World States you've made with your new "friend" account.

I haven't tried this myself yet, because I'm already so far down the road trying to sort out my XBox accounts. If you haven't started yet, though, then maybe that's something quite simple that you could try?
