In all honesty, the game doesn't look that bad in combat and the environments. The popping in and out textures for characters' faces is the biggest concern. I am okay with that if that happens every now and then but I hope it isn't in every conversation. The story is more important than the graphics but I find it ironic that the graphics for the story part of the game is troublesome for me.
Patch for the 'low' graphic settings (plastic hair) on PC and lastgen consoles

I agree. It's kind of a nice thing to be concerned about, for once.
If the issue really is just that the console is stuttering in loading textures, I could live with that. It would be frustrating, but that's a price I'm willing to pay.
But otherwise the game looks quite nice.

I, at least, am fully aware that games aren't going to be made for them much longer. But that doesn't mean I'm going to stop expecting the ones that are to look good, or stop criticizing them when they don't.
If you do something, you should do it right. No bullshit half-stops.

I think BioWare have done an incredible job with the scaling for this game. Great that they made it accessible on so many platforms!
Regarding shiny hair, is that just a specular map or something? Could they just remove the specular texture? I'm not well versed in computer graphics aside from some dabbling in skyrim mods and basic after effects work. If not BioWare, maybe a modder could remove the low end specular texture or replace it with something slightly higher res?
I'm sure there's a technical or timing reason for the hair to look that way, it's really not a huge issue though
you devs for your amazing work!

Honestly, I would take solid blocks of color over the incredibly shiny hair and beards on display, I just can't imagine Bioware seeing those the shine and being okay with it.

I knew that last-gen wouldn't be as good, but this is so terrible that it's bound to become distracting.
Really hoping that they can patch this somehow.

Found a solution for the shiny plastic hair.
In graphic options set Mesh Quality to high. Problem solved (well, almost solved).
Post-process Antialiasing on high may help too.
Cheers.
