Even though all my save games are still intact from 'Dragon Age - Origins', for some reason I cannot sync my save game in order to make the Hero of Ferelden my own hero that I created. I've customised the tapestry to match the actions of my hero but it's still irking me that 'Aedan Cousland' is nothing but an imposter. My hero wasn't bloody 'Aedan Cousland', it was Gaalon Cousland! Gaalon the Grey, the mighty Hero of Ferelden.

Even though my 'Dragon Age II' hero, Dirk, was imported without any troubles (you can see the little headshot avatar), for some reason I just can't for the life of me figure out how to do the same for 'Dragon Age - Origins'. The thing is that my DLC and achievements/accomplishments for 'Origins' were synced just fine. I can see all of them and they match up to what I've done throughout the game. But in my eyes the most crucial aspect of the whole experience is making sure that my original hero from 'Origins' is properly synced and represented.

This might sound overly anal considering that it's unlikely that my hero's going to show up in 'Inquisition' or be named, but for the sake of continuity and customisation I view this as something very important. Could anybody please assist me in this?

Have to tried going into your game and making it resync? Load your game, log into origin (correct account), checking to make sure information is being uploaded in the options menu, load your save, equipping some weapons, leaving the game on for 15 minutes and checking back to see if it uploaded your data.

If that doesn't work there's this thread:

I've tried but still no luck. I'll wait 24 hours just in case there's a backlog of people wanting to sync their wardens. From what I can see though, it seems that the online storage servers aren't working for 'Origins'? Does that mean that it still has to go through that system to be uploaded to Keep or does Keep simply bypass those servers?

There are a lot of people who have one, some or all of their DA:O heroes missing from the Keep.

One workaround you can try is to download the standalone DA:O Character Creator (should still be available at FilePlanet) and create a new character in that. If you want, you can even use it to recreate the look of one of your old characters and give him/her the same name. Hit the Upload button at the end and it should appear in your list of heroes in the Keep about 30 minutes later.

A couple of people have said that doesn't work for them either, so there's no guarantee it will work. For me though, it did work even though I haven't managed to get any of my actual in-game characters into the Keep, so it's probably worth a try. Plus, if it does, it's a very quick and easy workaround.

I just finished creating my Warden again in the character creator, so hopefully in time he'll pop up on Keep. The main issue I seem to have is that the old Bioware Social Network claims 'Your Dragon Age: Origins data is now read-only.'. Then when I go into the diagnostic page it comes up with this message 'Invalid persona/game combination'. It would seem that since I didn't upload my data to the old Bioware Social Network originally, I can't upload any new data because the system is considered obsolete?

Also, I noticed that not only are my two wardens from 'Origins' missing, but my second Hawke from 'Dragon Age II' is missing as well. So far I have zero of two wardens and one of two Hawkes. How can the game be released on Tuesday if Keep is this broken? It seems to be a real disservice to long term fans of the series who want to craft their worlds properly.

Another thing, my name on the old Bioware Social Network is different to this one. On here it's 'KorvenKuningas', as you can see, but when I log-in using the same username and password to try and find the diagnostic page, it comes up as 'garthvision'. Is this creating some sort of conflict when it comes to retrieving the data?

All I can say is that this is extremely frustrating and not a positive start.

No as it's tied to your origin account not the profile name.

Bioware are trying their best but because the old games only talk to the Legacy BSN it doesnt seem easy for the keep to pull the info

Having no luck with the character creator yet myself, my main wardens don't import from the game either, all I have are the old wardens from BSN. When they shifted my account over they seem to have broken it as unless I manually download DLC from BSN I don't get that either.

The game can still be released on Tuesday because, although there are things in the Keep that don't work properly for a lot of people (i.e. syncing characters and/or achievements), they are things which don't affect DA:I anyway.

It has been confirmed that DA:O's Warden does not appear in DA:I, so getting your Warden to show up in the Keep is really only cosmetic. Similarly, if your Hawke doesn't show up in the Keep, that won't affect DA:I either because, although he/she does appear in DA:I, it will be possible to customise him/her in-game.

I agree that, for those of us having trouble getting their characters to sync (and, yes, I'm one of them!) the Keep has been a very, very frustrating experience but we can take comfort from the fact that these issues won't affect DA:I. (Or so we've been told!   ;) )

I want to say I appreciate them trying to create the keep utility, those people are not at fault. It is an appreciated free addition to the game.

The people that ham-fistedly did my account transfer from BSN and messed up all my DLC and ability to synch my wardens, are who I am annoyed with. The DLC is arguably a more important point as I paid for that, but that is a different point and knowing how these things usually go, will end up with some heated arguments on the phone for me to try and get my money back.

Why would you need to complain to someone? No money was lost in the transferring of data from the Legacy BSN to the Keep. You still have your DLC that you paid for. It's just the data for it that's showing up incorrectly. It doesn't affect your ability to play it again or affect DAI in any way.

I'm having the exact same problem and can not find any solution either.
