Leaked flags show the identities of the potential new Divines at the end of the game. We can (seemingly) choose between Leliana (suspected), Cassandra (interesting) or Vivienne (wut?). And here I was thinking it was going to be Mother Gisele.

A mage divine is...strange. Interesting, but strange.

Leliana would make a half-decent job, I think. I was really taken aback by Vivienne's candidacy but given what she said about her immense admiration for Justinia, perhaps she wouldn't make such a bad Divine after all (a mage Divine would be very interesting to say the least).

I don't think this is being interpreted right. The characters stay in the Inquisition after the game ends since we can continue, so how could they be the Divine?

Rather hard for my Warden and Leliana to be together if she's head of a celibate order.

Bets on names?

Leliana I think would become Justinia VI, Cassandra...hm, something military related? Vivienne's probably egotistical enough to call herself Divine Andraste I...

Remember, they draw the names out of a hat according to Sebastian.

Yeah not liking any of these choices if this is it lol. Hoping it isn't. I don't think I want any of those 3 as the Divine.

Good point. Has it been confirmed that "after the game ends" means literally after the plot is finished and we defeat the villain - if that's the case I can see other complications.

Or does it simply transport us to a world where the main quest is removed but we can mop up side quests/explore a la Assassin's Creed?

Yeah, hoping that's wrong.  None of them sound like a good idea.

If it's anything like previous Bioware games, it'll boot you to the last save point before the point of no return, usually right before you accept the mission for the final boss. If they do that then there would be no conflict.

Divine Cass, that could work. I liked discussing the future of the Chantry with her in my six hours. The leader of the inquisition in a romance with the divine, ooo the controversy.

That could honestly just be them talking about who the new Divine is. Honestly, since this game doesn't have retroactive dlc, and none of them are actually a part of the Chantry, how could they become Divine?

The way Bioware described it, it is the former. Thy even said there are quests and areas that should be tackled after the main quest is completed.

As far as I know, you don't have to be an ordained cleric to become Divine. I'd suggest that Leliana and Cassandra are in fact members in any case.

They aren't. In fact they quit the Chantry in the first 30 minutes of the game. You also do have to be voted in.
