In retrospect, you pretty much choose between eyes, hairstyles of the iconic Dragon Ball Z characters as opposed to actually designing a character that truly feels unique.

 

I like how the character's head doesn't seem to fit that absurd body of his.

 

It does look decent overall -- The Dragon Ball game I had the most fun with would probably be Budokai 3.

To be fair that's pretty much how Akira Toriyama's art style works. He doesn't have that much variability when it comes to faces and hair.

You can clearly tell Vegeta & Goku apart -- That would be the point, but when you have a character creator for an original character, then one wouldn't want to think it'd be impossible to somewhat have options that aren't merely copy pasted hair from all the other characters. It's like the problem with DC Universe Online, where your character basically gains the power of the iconic heroes as opposed to something that is unique to them alone. Hence why City of Heroes was great. But there it is.

I saw it on steam first, and was reading the features only because i had nothing better to do, and when I saw you could create your own character from various races both male and female i dropped my jaw... this is unprecedented. I'm going to buy this game no matter how crappy or hard it is, because i always wanted to create my own DBZ characters. I don't care that it's non canon in fact i love it more because of that, (i mean seriously how many times can you play the same story over before it gets kind of boring?) this is definitely something im looking forward to and i don't play fighters at all anymore really, but this is kind of awakening my fighter edge.

I didn't see tails on the Saiyan race members in the demo, it could have been a over sight, or they might be descendants of the Saiyan race that just use the name Saiyan as a catch all for anyone with a trace of Saiyan blood in them, though im kind of disappointed at the lack of the option i can live with it so long as we do get SSJ1 and 2 at the very least. Also the image of the female buu was hella cute.

No idea, but he does seem to have the power to kind of procreate, fat did expel evil buu from himself creating 2 distinct buus for a time.
